Halo 3: ODST isn't just for the online community, but the offline one as well. So if you want to continue complaining, be my guest. I know a lot of you probably have friends who are offline gamers who also can't wait for ODST.
But think about these point which I've already outlined:
Offline gamers can't:
-Play with people that span the globe
-Download new maps
-Unlock 675 Gamerscore of Halo 3
-Unlock Recon armor
-Unlock Security helmet, ODST. Mark V, Rogue, Katana, Scout shoulders
-Full sets of Ascetic and Commando
-Download Community maps from Bungie.net
The list goes on.
So think before you complain. The whole point is to give offline gamers some new content to play with and they still won't be able to do everything we can.
So let me get this right, cus you dont have the internet or a live account we have to pay more just so you can get the same things as us! We still have to pay for the maps! So we pay our internet bill, buy the maps and then have to get them again for "free". Is that not making us spend more money then the "offline games"
If getting new maps is so big in your mind, then one simple thing, get the internet or a live account. I bet your not more then like 10 years old. Tell your mum that your gaming time is not so good anymore and you want new maps and you have to go online to get them. Join us in the the real world!
Wow, a-hole much?! FYI I am 16 years old and I do have online (Notice I say we, referencing me as an online gamer. I also say was and at the time) . Why don't you click on my profile and look at my service record?! I have every Map Pack available, all available 72 achievements, and I have preordered Halo 3: ODST.
What I'm saying is that pricks like you complain about having to pay $60 for stuff we already have but if you think about it, the first disc is $30 or $40 (Bungie originally thought of it as 30-40 dollars) and the second disc is $30 or $20.
My argument is that offline gamers can enjoy some of the benefits we online gamers enjoy. That is really the whole point of putting all the maps on one disc and selling it with ODST.
You get 3 new maps, a new multiplayer mode, a new campaign, and an invitation to a beta. I have to pay all this too but I'm not complaining. Now (after the launch of ODST) when I go over to a friend's house, we can still play on any map instead of being stuck with the original 11.
If you want to blame anyone, blame Micro$oft for milking gamers for money.
Oh and don't get pissy at me and be a complete dickwad because you have to shell out $60. Save up some money and while you're at it, take a pill. You need one.
