isent halo half elite?

I replyd no halo is a ring the person you are talking about is master chief and he is veary much human...

so my they say..

but I swear i saw a video where he takes his helmet off and he has mandibles and he has a kid that looks like him too...

i have no idea how he came to belive any of this..

War, War never changes.

Got my Recon from the Vidmaster achievments, like most.
Reach IS awesome, don't deny it

well i only played Halo 3, and loved it. so then recentley i bought Halo 2 (yep i know im going backwards) and also i have read Halo: fall of Reach. Despite not seeing alot of the Halo universe i think i know quite a bit about it. BTW i havent done Halo 2 yet.

Many people complain about the story because in the grand scheme of things they don't really know what is going on, just what they saw in maybe 2 of the three games that they actually played.

It's because most people see Halo for what it truly is, just a fun video game franchise. Most people just play the game and really don't care about the comic books or the novels.
There are only a small percentage of people who engulf themselves in everything Halo. In the end Halo (and the fans) will be in the same category one day as Star Wars, and Star Trek fans are, just a bunch of adults who have a convention every year and dress up as their favorite character and like to reminisce about a childhood that they can never get back.

Damn right we will...at least, we can hope.

its a shame that you think people are bothered by the opinions of people like you.

Everyone has a thing that they like. Some people have boring things like football and basketball but everyone has something. If that is halo what is the problem with that?

But if you want to shut your eyes and skip all the cutscenes, or hey, ignore the campaign alltogether and just play the mindless multiplayer all day go ahead and enjoy your 'childhood' wait are you a child?

anyways I read the novels because they are good. I read the comics because they have good art. I play the games because I like the story.

I really didn't think someone would be bothered. It's just how I see the Halo franchise.

It has always bugged me too. Sadly, it is never going to stop. I've been a member here for 5 years and have been reading everything on this site for 6 and a half, and it has always been like this. Whenever a new game is announced, people who have never read the books or done anything besides played through the games come to the forums and talk about things they have no idea what they are talking about. Don't worry though, once there is no new upcoming game these people tend to go away for the most part. Sadly, we have at least a good year and a half til that happens.

Not sure I'll be able to stand over a year and a half reading threads saying that Reach is the Legendary Ending planet.
Suicide begins to sound very friendly now...

Imagine any employee who frequents these forums. They could probably easily discredit a ton of the annoying retarded theories here and yet they aren't able to. I know if that was me I'd go crazy.

  • 06.09.2009 11:50 AM PDT

You could see any franchise like that, but imagine buying MGS games and just playing them without watching the cutscenes...
its like a joke.

But wait, don't you just get better member status the more you post? (I could be wrong since I'm new to the whole forum thing). I played CE when it came out and bought two on release day and then I got the book trilogy. Afterwards, I got 3 and read that Graphic Novel that I found at Barnes and Nobles (though I couldn't get interested in it for some reason). I'm just saying, just because I don't post on forums a lot doesn't mean I don't know anything.

  • 06.09.2009 11:53 AM PDT

Well we know from the Bungie WWU that they tend to enjoy reading the crazy theories and how insanely some people scrutinize and analyze the trailers. If I was an employee, I would love to see how much time people are spent analyzing just a few minutes worth of information and trying to create a whole game out of it.

However, I would be slitting my wrists at the amount of uneducated people on here posting things they have no idea about. It must drive alot of them crazy to see how little alot of people know about the Halo universe.

  • 06.09.2009 11:54 AM PDT

I read the fall of reach, i wish i could read all of them so i think im a true fan since i play halo 3 everyday, i own halo wars got in the beta to halo 3 so yeah

  • 06.09.2009 11:55 AM PDT

Adjust your strategy to the game, not the game to your strategy.

I just hate the people who make up very elaborate theories about either time travel or a cameo appearance by a character that's either dead or lightyears away. For example, the Halo:Reach banner seen above this forum. Most people just assume that all of the silhouettes are Spartans. This seems like a very ignorant thing to do, assuming that we know nothing about the game. I can even disprove that theory by pointing out that the figure second from the right is too small to be a Spartan in MJOLNIR armor.

Dude Reach is the planet watch the legendary ending:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VybS1C-4CAk

At 7:35 mins you can see circular lights about the planet

And if you've seen the Reach trailer then you see circular city lights douse after the first explosion so therefore there is a clear connection between the two planets depicted in these two videos

Omg, dude! Coruscant has circular city lights! He's in the Star Wars universe!!!11

I didn't even think Reach had any major cities. Pretty sure it's just the location of a major UNSC headquarters with settlements around? There's only 700million people on it. For an Earth Sized planet, that doesn't leave much for huge cities that take up entire halves of planets.

Wrong thats ONYX.

While you're reading this I'M in YOUR base Stealing YOUR Flag

1. Reach is in "our" galaxy
2. Onyx is in "our" galaxy
3. The portal that you travel through to get to the Ark in Halo 3 brings you to a point in space where you can see "our" galaxy from a far.
4. The Ark is about 262,144 light years from the galactic center. In comparison, Earth is 25,000 light years from the galactic center. The Epsilon Eridani System (where Reach is located) is 10.5 light years from Earth. The Zeta Doradus System (where Onyx is located) is approximately 38 light-years from Earth.
5. So... The Chief is still near the Ark approximately 237,144 light years away from earth drifting on a disabled ship in the end of Halo 3.
6. Reach and Onyx are relatively close to Earth.
7. By what force could the remains of the ship traverse such a great distance?

Please do the math and use some logic and common sense and you will find no correlation between the end of Halo 3 and the Reach Teaser.

It's like a retard riding a bicycle while eating hot wings.
Sometimes you have to take the bike seat off to really enjoy it.

I hate it when people call Spartans "Master Cheifs".
Like I was telling this guy that the Arbiter in Halo Wars wasn't the real Arbiter from H2 And H3.(Obviously) He claimed he had read the books and he said "lul my mastur cheef is jacking teh banshees!"
Another annoying thing.
