Do you think that there should be the ability to go prone in ODST? (prone means to lie down)

This isn't CoD

How to spell "space"?

S-P-ACE! SPACE!

Not CoD, if you want CoD, then just buy MW2, it comes out in November. Soap is back!

Not at all. As FRI R3gret said, this isn't CoD.

  • 06.09.2009 10:52 AM PDT

No. Not because "This isn't COD", but because it's completely unnecassary.

Self-proclaimed genius.
Roam the streets with a sign, "will love for false hope."

Since when did going prone end up being a Call of Duty thing?

It would have been nice to have more features like Sprint, Cover, and Prone systems...

But it is unnecessary for Halo 3 ODST.

since these guys couldn't come up with a legitimate reason why there shouldn't be prone in odst.

also, i like the idea of sprinting but a cover system would be a bad idea imo, especially if you went into a tps look while in cover, if halo ever became a tps i'd quit.

People Die..But Spartans Live Forever!

Delta Squad X

Well it would be new feature and actually realistic, since hes not a spartan and dont have the shield and such that MC does then going prone would be cool and could offer for some great headshots.

Spartan119 the Red Raven.

I agree, they said odst will take a much more stealthy approach, and a prone mode would support that.

What's the point? You don't have a knife to execute quick kills like in Call of Duty, so going prone would be useless.

Not CoD, if you want CoD, then just buy MW2, it comes out in November. Soap is back! not that it matters but MW2 is officaly not a cod game

There's no legitimate reason as to why it SHOULD be in Halo 3 ODST either. As far as I can tell, the Halo series has done quite well without it. You could argue that it might help evade shots better, or it might help you be more stealthy. But the fact is it won't help you evade shots any better, because the Halo 3 AI are good shots and WILL hit you while you're struggling to get back to your feet. And it won't make you any stealthier than crouching will, unless Bungie changes the enemy AI. Which they won't.

guitar there are more advantages than just knifing while in prone, for example increased accuracy and stealth.

Being able to go from prone to standing to prone to standing to prone to standing to prone to standing to prone to standing to prone to standing to ..... all while firing your weapon?

In the future, when FPS games are released with the ability to go prone, I seriously hope the devs get it right and make the transition from standing to prone and prone to standing more realistic.

Allowing such a foul game mechanic into Halo would bring harm to what has become a near perfect FPS.
