"Let's pump some butts."

Note:Unashamedly taken from Luke Smith's battle cries.

In that latest ODST Demo for IGN there's a guy from Microsoft who is an absolute -blam!-! He said, "Cheaters never prosper, unless they work for Bungie." Now did I take it the wrong way and he was just kidding, or was that an intentional deragatory claim? Joseph Staten played that little comment off with a "hey now" but I think there was more going on under the surface. Ugh that made me a little angry. Just because Microsoft lost their best game developer and they can't come out with anything nearly as cool as the Halogames is no reason to be douches. Keep It Clean.

uhh.. wow,

i think he was just kidding, but you reacted pretty well, a lot of peoople would've sent Microsoft very angry messages.

First off, the guy was not from Microsoft. Second, it was quite clearly meant as a joke.

I'm just one FuZzY guy.

Increable my friends, increable...

"The enemy has opted for oblivion."

I see what your saying. I also noticed this as well. He seemed very negative to Staten during the whole commentary.

He reffered to devs using cheats during the building of games, so they don't have to play the entire level for testing a small section.

"Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice."

For the last time its TURRETS not TORRENTS. A TORRENT is either a peer to peer file sharing protocol or a violently fast stream of water. A TURRET is a self-contained weapons platform housing guns and capable of rotation. And TURRENT isn't even a word.

He may have also been referring to the fact that many devs use a god mode cheat while playing so they don't accidentally die during the demo. The comment was accurate.

Cheaters do not prosper in Halo 3, unless you're a Bungie employee working on the game, in which case it helps you test certain parts faster, find bugs easier, and generally make the game better. Also, Staten won't get banned for hacking, since his team put the cheat there in the first place.

The "Hey now" response however, leads me to believe he was referencing the god mode cheat Staten was most likely running. Staten probably took it as a jibe at his skills, which it probably was.

Joseph Staten hasnt really good skills at least looking for the demo he showed to IGN I think ( the one link In Bungie.net front page), I loved when he said "it is very easy to get headshots!" and then he miss all head shoot and he jokes with himself!
