I tried to get photos/screenshots in this post, but I really don't know how to do it :(... would have made everything much easier but on I go.
Ok now, the first thing I noticed in the trailer (15 seconds in) is the planet Reach of course as the closest thing on screen, but there is also another planet in the distance with what looks like it's moon... I was wondering if anybody knew, or had a vague idea of what this planet is?
The second thing I noticed was a destroyed ship floating past the screen (30 seconds in). Now this could just be an attempt to show the scale of the conflict... but it could be a hint at ship to ship conflict/space combat being included in the game? It's the only ship shown in the trailer which makes me believe there is something more to it, and before the time travel theory comes about again, no it is not the ship master chief was in at the end of halo 3 as it is indeed the ruins of a full ship and not half.
The last thing I noticed was the impact an explosion has on the surrounding environment (38 seconds - 41 seconds). It knocks out the surrounding lighting causing a blackout which is logical enough. Maybe this is hinting at persistent damage/a reactive environment? Example, Halo: Reach is a sandbox like the battlefield games, in a multiplayer match or the campaign, you fail to defend a certain structure of significance, say a base. The base, once destroyed, no longer exists on the map, but it's loss has further implications, such as a loss of future tactical information and therefore awareness.
I don't know, just thought I'd type out some of the ideas I got from the trailer. Enjoy.
