The second disk is basically Halo 3 multiplayer without the single player campaign right? Along with all the maps up till now with 3 new ones right? First question will I have to download the new maps onto the Xbox from ODST to play with my halo 3 disk or will I have to always play with the ODST disk in?

yes, it is. I'm not sure about the maps being downloaded but they said NOT to copy the second disk to your hard drive

I hope u can download the maps...it'll b a -blam!-...cause in order to get the last achieves with H3 you need the maps so if they make it so u cant download them from the disc then u gotta pay for the maps...twice...

false. The second disk already HAS the halo 3 Multiplayer on it.

Yeah but what i'm saying is that in order to unlock the Halo 3 achievements you'll have to play it in H3 wont you?

Plus, what if i dont wanna keep ODST? WHat if i just wanna 1000/1000 it then sell it cause all i play on H3 is multiplayer anyway! Then i'll have to buy the maps again...which is dumb!

So will you have the same file share? All of your H3 file share stuff on the 2nd ODST disc...??? You will no longer be able to switch between campaign to matchmaking then... So in a sense, the ODST disc is pointless?? Or your Halo 3 disc is pointless?? Wouldnt it make more sense to get the 3 new maps on the Halo 3 disc, so you can still play campaign and do other stuff... I hope with the new disc, they atleast let you have more than 100 items of saved content...

Adjust your strategy to the game, not the game to your strategy.

You don't understand how a download works. When you download the maps from the disk, they go to the hard drive, and then they stay there. The maps are retrieved the same way whether you download them from the Marketplace or from the ODST disc.

Yeah, i know but we dont know if thats how theyre gonna run it. Are they planning on running it like the H2 Map disc? If so then that will work. Then i can 1000/1000 then sell ODST :) AND have my R3c0nZ lol. (Jk dont rly care about mai recon)

Another point to make is if the maps are able to be downloaded onto the hard drive then I can buy one copy of ODST and all my friends can get the maps since there would be none of the linked download to your Xbox live gamertag stuff.

No because 4 map packs takes up a lot of space on your hard drive.

And as far as the rest of the stuff is concerned, the fact that this second disc is the same game as Halo 3 should tell you that you will probably have the same file share, saved films, map variants, and screenshots that you did in Halo 3 and, by extension, the same 100 item limit.

ODST is a different matter, but the Halo 3 multiplayer disc is the same deal that you have had since 9/25/07, as far as multiplayer is concerned..
