okay, this is a stretch, but what if the whole game is the cheif's flashback?. then, it would be okay for the rookie to get killed by dare, then as the cheif you go look for her and her helmet falls off and its someone the cheif knows and its all like o.O

"Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice."

For the last time its TURRETS not TORRENTS. A TORRENT is either a peer to peer file sharing protocol or a violently fast stream of water. A TURRET is a self-contained weapons platform housing guns and capable of rotation. And TURRENT isn't even a word.

How could the chief have a flashback of events that happened on Earth while he was halfway across the galaxy? It would be kind of lame to be in a flashback, while searching for clues in flashback city while experiencing flashbacks within the flashbacks.

Not to mention, the rookie experiences flashbacks based on clues he finds. Chief was never in the areas the rookie was in after he returned to Earth, it was all pretty much destroyed uncovering the ark. If it was chiefs flashback, it would have to be explained by some bad psychic joojoomagumbo. The theory doesn't seem to be thought all the way through.

Hi peoplz

a cool easter egg would be to find a dead ODST body and when you punch his body to make him turn over, you see 117 etched in the back of his armor.

Two makes there more than speakers.

Master Cheif having a flashback about another guy having a flashback? No.

Also, I believe Dare will not kill the Rookie. If she does, please show a link or source of this given information stated from a game informer or by Bungie.

While the mission was being planned Master Chief is probably just destroying the Scarab and boarding the Pelican.

if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?

oh! i know how it could work!
Rookie's helmet was linked up to Foward Unto Dawn.
Don't ask how, it was proxxied through every other UNSC ship or somehting i don't really care.
then it takes all of the relayed info stored as video (remember CE private Jenkins?), and it's all a video!

Why don't we just throw in Hitler and WWII while we're at it?

And dinosaurs as well as the UN (pronounced as 'uhn')!

"Anyone can give up it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's the true strength."

First of all...MC wouldn't be dreaming of the Rookie dropping podding down... Second, DARE is veronica, an ONI Spook.....

The only way of the Chief returning to ODST is at the very end of the game.

When the chief did a slipspace jump from High charity, except you don't see him, but you hear his radio comm.

"We got a new contact, unnknown classification."

"It isn't one of ours, take it out.

"This is Spartan 117, can anyone hear me?"

"Isolate that signal. Master Chief, you mind telling me what your doing on that ship?"

"Sir, finishing this fight."

You know what would really suck? If the ending of ODST was the Rookie saying "Sir, finishing this fight." to an officer. Then it shows the Superintendant talking to a Brute.

and how!

....How could this be Master Chief's flashback if all of this occurs while he is in cryosleep traveling through slipspace towards Delta Halo?

Would you dance for it?

*Head Explodes*

Seriously. The 'whole episode flashback' theme is just something lazy Star Trek writers came up with so they could go home early on a friday.

It just isn't that great to begin with and experiencing flashbacks of someone else in first person is a mind @#$%.

Power corrupts. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.

The only way you would see chief is if at the very beggining you see him escaping the planet. Then you drop into hell!
