It's not Hip-Hop, its Electro.... prick.

I understand it is like a demo before the demo, but I just don't really get what it's all about. Please just give me a more serious explanation of what I'm getting with ODST.

Please just help out and not be a jerk... Thanks

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

It's a sliver of the multiplayer while it's still in development.

It will be just like the Halo 3 Beta that came with Crackdown. For a short amount of time you get to play unranked Team Slayer on a very small amount of maps (around 3) for a short period of time (around 3 weeks). The reason Bungie does this is so that they can test their servers and patch up any exploits players unveil in the beta before they release the full game. A good example of this was in the Halo 3 Beta, where you could fly the Banshee out of Valhalla and into (a somewhat glitchy) space. However, come the release of the actual Halo 3, you could no longer do this. That answer everything???

People Die..But Spartans Live Forever!

Delta Squad X

So Misinformed dude..the Halo Reach Beta does not "Come" with ODST, ODST comes with an 'INVITATION" to access the Hale Reach beta when its made available later on..most likely in 2010.

A bit of wordplay to put across the same basic message. Buying ODST = Reach Beta. I am not misinformed, I was just trying to explain in the simplist terms how the Reach Beta worked, as a fellow forum member was having some trouble with the concept. In concept, ODST DOES "come" with the Reach Beta, as the coding for it is on the ODST disc. Please do not insult my intelligence.

Exactly, just like the Crackdown/Halo 3 system.

I was really glad to hear they were doing this again. I've never really been a PC Gamer, consoles have always been my thing, and I've always kinda felt like I was missing out on certain things. The Halo 3 beta was awesome, and it was neat being able to see a game in it's pre-release state.

Fist: It will look very similar to the final product. A lot of stuff did change from the Halo 3 beta to the final game, but it was stuff like bullet damage, the number of rounds in a clip and weapon placements in the map. When Halo 3 shipped, the stuff that was in the beta was basically the same, just polished up. Visually it as almost identical.

The Halo 3 beta had three maps, and had a mixture of some of the basic gametypes from 4 vs 4 to 8 vs 8.

It had Vahalla, Snowbound, and Highground.

A major purpous of betas is to datamine and get lots of information which can be used to help the final game. A key area they looked at for the Halo 3 beta was the new Theatre mode because they wanted to make sure it worked for a wide variety of situations. A lesser objective was to see how the weapons on the map were balanced and how the gameplay on the map flowed, spawns, and such.
