SHAKE YOUR BABIES!!!

consider the fact that when the ODST squad was jumping they were trying to land on the carrier. but then Dare "adjusted" the trajectory, meaning she changed the direction. now if you used your brain to picture the carrier continuing on(just imagine it didn't jump), and compared it with the ODSTs' movement speed and direction, they were going to land in water. buck was right when he said "were going to miss the carrier".

so was she trying to kill the squad?
i say...yes

notice she said all of this before the carier even looked like it was going to jump. she didnt know it so she had to have wanted to drown them

Slightly old, but still true nonetheless

What would be the purpose of drowning ODSTs who don't even know who you are? I think it just looked like they were going in the water...

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Or maybe Dare was saving them so she could actually use them before betraying them.

That makes more sense then just randomly drowning a squad of ODST's.

There are 2 additional things that make me think she will play a part in a plot twist in this game.

#1. Her profile is mostly "Classified" on the project page.

#2. In an interview, a Bungie team member mentioned that you would be able to play as 5 of the 6 squad members. We know that you start the game off as the Rookie, and you play as either Dutch or Buck on the Bridge flashback scene (someone please correct me here.)

Video Link Check around the 1:00 mark.

Sorry Mr. Crosby...

No, I think that she was just trying to save them from the big explosion that they probably knew was coming.

I'm just a BAMF running the Red Ribbon Army clan, join or die.

I think you just hate Dare for having a huge cranium lol

We'll know for the first time, if were evil or divine, were the last in line.

No Buck knows what Dare is planning to do. If you don't believe me then watch this video Here. Listen at 0:55 through 1:00 carefuly and Buck says there not gonna like what they see and she says orders are orders.

I would like to disagree.

Buck knew Dare before they were chosen by her to be taken under her command.

During the drop, if you didn't notice, the other troopers thought that they were going to land on the cruiser but did not. The coordinates were changed because their original mission was to touchdown on the ONI Alpha site/base and defend it from the Covenant/Brute forces. The trajectory/coordinates were changed because Dare had a hidden agenda that only she and Buck seemed to know. The squad was going to land on or close the site so they can get the intended objective done.

The boarding of Regret's cruiser was just a cover up story so that Dare can proceed with her real agenda, which was to extract the Forerunner data on Earth in the ONI Alpha site/base database before the Covenant/Brute can find it and proceed with their great journey of activating the rings. To assure this, the Alpha Site was destroyed so that there was no information for the Covenant to retrieve, but later on in Halo 3, Truth does find the artifact data, which helps his great journey. During the event of the data extract, the ODST squad is seen defending outside of the perimeter, holding off the Covenant as long as they can for Dare.

Just take a moment and really think about it. Refer to the cutscenes displayed at E3 and put the puzzles together.

The dropping above Regret's cruiser.
Dare handpicked her ODSTs.
The cutscene of the burning ONI Alpha site.
The perspective of Buck and the defense outside the site.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

I think it was the plan in the first place to veer away from the carrier. She had her own mission from the start. That was the reason she asked for her own squad in the first place (in one of the original transmissions from the weekly updates)

She may still betray them, but I don't think that was the reason she veered away from the carrier.

Anyone with half a brain noticed this already, and any body with slightly more than half a brain could figure out this is stupid, and she didn't attempt to kill her squad what so ever. How much of a brain do you have?

Forum Rules for those who care to know what they are.

"Bs: Blame stosh for all of your BS!"

She manipulates her Squad to do the ONI's bidding (or her's for whatever reason) without them realizing it. That's what I think.

No. If you watch the opening cutscene, You'll realize that Buck knew beforehand that Dare was gonna change their Squad's plans before hand. If Dare was going to kill the Squad at that point, Buck wouldn't have allowed it.
