oh death was never enemy of ours

anyone notice the similar characteristics of planet reach to the planet master chief lands on at the end of halo 3?

if you notice on the planet suface they both have the same circular city designs and the sun looks to be the same distance away.

Phoenix is dead, long live Phoenix!
Is it?

This might be a bit more helpful.

Oh yeah It's Rayzed.

Please don't suppose another time travel theory, please. The planet is similar to just about every other planet in the universe. It's a circle and has land! Don't just presume it's Reach.

Edit: Planets are spheres not circles...for anyone that notices my error.

There isn't any. The planet at the end of Halo 3 is very technological. It is clearly very built up and not of natural origin, whereas the planet in the Reach trailer is very organic, with water, land and mountains visible.

hey, its just a plain ol' theory that i thought of.

ah, but reach in the begining was a fresh planet, after many years (end of halo 3) it could have been rebuilt.

It's surface was basically turned to glass and the atmosphere pretty much evaporated.

Good theory but if you read the books it tells you that the atmosphere of a planet evaporates when it is glassed (this is what happed to Reach). I think you got your timeline a bit mixed up as the time between the fall of Reach and the end of Halo 3 is a couple of months, max, no where near enough time for Reach to build up an atmosphere again and therefore, impossible to build on...

oh death was never enemy of ours

thats the point, the forerunners could artificially create an atmosphere, somebody else could figure out how to. and be able to build artificial structures

well, its just a theory, you never know

XD. You're kidding right? They GLASSED Reach. That means they burned every available resource left for the planet. And no, they couldn't rebuild. And it wasn't a fresh planet. Reach was home to the largest military force in UNSC history. The battle for Reach consisted of what is probably noted as the biggest military action within the war. There were over a 100 UNSC Frigates vs. 300 Covenant ships. The only thing that kept UNSC from being overrun was the Orbital MAC array which eventually fell. Leading to the Fall of Reach as a UNSC planet. They probaly glassed the Forerunner architecture after the UNSC left, seeing as they saw the humans as contaminated filth.

Point of the matter: READ THE BOOKS or at least look up some sort of handbook to follow. If you really want to know about it, look at it in Halopedia. A lot of information in there.

The Forerunners are extinct long before any of the events in Halo. The book Trilogy currently being written about the Forerunners is set 10,000 years before Halo:CE, so thats a good indication. How could the Forerunners rebuild Reach when they have been extinct for nearly 10,000 years? Also, you can't say that the Covenant harvested Forerunner technology to rebuild Reach as the books clearly state that the Covenant won't build on human turf as it is "filthy". Lastly, the Humans couldn't rebuild Reach with Forerunner technology either, as the human themselves don't have the technology to reverse enginer forerunner technology. Besides, both the humans and the covenant were to busy with the Halo Rings to pay Reach any attention...

Well I'm afraid to say it, but your theory is wrong!

In the jungle of war there is always a lion.
-Tsun Tsu

the SUNs are totally different colors. Red vs Blue. meaning a different star system. meaning a different planet. also REACH falls only months before halo 3

Signatures are for squares.

One statement can prove your theory wrong.

Reach is a prequel.
