Subject: Theory: Class based Squad Action AKA "MMMMEEEEEEDDDDDIIIICCCC!...

BOOM!! kneeshot!... hey, wait.

now while I don't dispute whether this game will actually be based on the characters from Fall of Reach or not. The silhouettes are very compelling in saying yes. I am having a guess that if it's not, that this could be Bungie's first foray into Team Fortress territory with the introduction of squad classes.

Now obviously this wouldn't be a complete rip of team fortress classes. Like "oo that guy in the halo reach poster has a knife, he must be a spy", because those sort of classes just wouldn't fit into the halo universe. There just wouldn't be a place on the battlefield in the war against a covenant army for a spy IMO. /the whole reason a spy works in team fortress is that the enemy count is small and you have the ability to trick real people by taking the form of the enemy. Whilst I would find it funny to see a Spartan trying to fit himself into chieftain armor or even a grunt's breathing apparatus I just cant see it happening. The only way i could imagine a spy-ish class working with aspects of the halo universe is possibly with a built in short time camo like the elites have, but as far as i'm aware the UNSC hasn't got its hand on that sort of technology at that point in the time line. Or possibly removing the idea of a Spy and just something a bit stealthy, eg silenced weapons, flash bangs, radar jammer.

However spy/infiltrator class aside, the silhouettes could imply some of the other squad based archetypes you might suspect. You clearly could have a heavy gunner, sniper, and general assault class and they would all be feasible. Other sort of classes i imagine could work in the halo universe would be medic (however do Spartans need medics if they have shields? heh maybe mechanic), anti vehicle/demolitions (you got rocket launchers, trip mines), hell maybe even a transport guy; i mean how long have fans been asking to use pelicans in battle. Anyways that's just an idea of what they might be doing, if the silhouettes implying the characters from fall of reach is a ruse. So yeah feel free to discuss, insult me or watever. jus throwing that out there however unlikely.

Try breaking you're post down into paragraphs, it will be easier for the reader and not give them a headache.

E4web

Need a dispenser here?

This probably won't be a TF2 knock-off and probably won't be class-based warfare. All we know is that it's a First Person Shooter, everything else is speculation. Heck, even the title is subject to change, like Halo: Recon.

yeah i know its highly unlikely. i'm not a fool :P it's far more likely that it's part of if not all of the story of blue team from fall of reach. i just like speculating, that's all. it's fun :P I find the project natal implementation theory quite hilarious, but still fun to think about. Like what would it be like if you could be in the gunner seat of a warthog and you would jus hold out your hands as if to hold on to the gun and move yourself around much like the marines do in game to aim and stuff. I was hoping to see what people might think would make halo good in a class based affair. I mean if it were true i'm sure bungie would think of much more interesting classes.
