Now i only have one piece of evidence here, but i believe that it's sufficient enough to disprove some other theories out there. My evidence here is Gamma Station. The chapters of FoR I'll be referring to are 34-37. Basically there are several slipspace ruptures, and the covenant detect an intact Nav Database. The chief and his team are sent to destroy this database.

The covenant send thousands of troops, but the chief makes it out alive. Sadly to say it no one on the station could have possibly survived. How do i conclude this ? Well the covenant are desperate for information on earth. They would search that entire station for the nav data, and i doubt they would leave a human they encountered alive. To sum this up it would be highly unlikely the exact same events would happen later in the universe. Especially because there wouldn't be anyone to communicate with. If you would like to argue that this isn't enough evidence please post your argument. Discuss.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

What do you mean by the end there?

And we know it takes place during the battle for Reach... we probably won't play as the Chief, we will probably play as Spartans from Beta team.

A very good possibility. I have a question for the thread though: Do you think you will only play the events in Fall of Reach? or will there be more to the story? Will it continue further?

IMO, for Bungie to talk about NEW Spartans makes me think this is more than just FoR made into a game.

FoR really doesn't even depict the fall of Reach. It shows the first 15 minutes of the battle, all in space. You dont see the real fall of Reach until Halo First Strike.

Play nice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the title, "HALO: REACH" proof enough?

I am...whimsical today.

If it is indeed set in the future, then there is no reason why Gamma Station could not have been re-built and re-staffed.
Though it does seem unlikely that RSS Fermion would be the first to spot [i[two[/i] system invasions.

You have to realize though that one, Reach is now covenant controlled space, and two there would be no tactical reason to rebuiild there. It's not like they're trying to protect a planet or anything. ;)

The proof is in RSO Fermion that over loaded its reactors and self destructing after detecting the covenant. Fermion is gone before the first shots of the Reach Battle are fired.
