Halo: Squadron Eight

"I've always considered myself unbreakable. I've learn to cope with my emotions even after watching the majority of my so called friends die.
The amount of training I went through to be able to stand on my feet as they were chopped down." but that was then for the head up ass marine Ryan O' Reily.

The sound of mechanical gadgets loose and sparking cloud the very far away mind's of Squadron Eight. They were headed in a direction of no return, they knew, but even the smallest light can shine in the dark. The stereotypical Sargent was seeking his own shelter within his mind
trying to figure out if he's ready for what has to come. No man can stomach what he has seen
so if he shows any more signs of worry, the whole team will die before they know it.

A flash on everyone's faces glows blue from the teams-speak intercom visors lighting up, displaying all the objectives and vital signs. With everyone's direct attention the Sarge stands up, flicking his cigar onto the floor. "Marines, this is where we get off!" Their faces show signs of confusion The Pelican is easily 100 feet off the ground, and going 75km/h. Merely a TDP (Troop Deployment Pod)
it managed more than the usual Covenant plasma rounds in other missions. Used to transport important marines, most of the time ODST's (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) that objectives were completed and needed an EVAC.
Squadron Eight was allowed to use it since the UNSC knew their own fate, and wanted to give them the best they had at the time.

José, and Ron were both using a new experimental suit called the Pure Liquid Epinephrine implment Armor usually called (PLEA) they were the only two marine in the whole UNSC that got to wear the suit in real combat, and their experiences with the armor was successful. The armor allowed them to have quick thinking, extra strength, and faster reflexes. Similar to a Spartans augmentation, but didn't last forever.
The armor has to be refilled depending on how much the marine uses it. The on and off switch are located on the left arm, underneath a protection plate.

The rest of the marines had extreme envy upon José, and Ron, but not the fact that they felt left out, but only because they will survive longer. The back of the Pelican opens and shows the dark battle scarred landscape of Namibia, located south-west of Mombasa. They were ordered to jump out and land on their rucksacks that contain gelatin blocks to up the chances of surviving a high drop fall by 20%.

All 8 of the marines jumped off the Pelican backwards with their legs in the air, and their fingers on the straps of the rucksack.
Their backs facing the ground ready to embrace the impact. Michael the 5th marine lands on his arm, shattering each and everyone bone in it. Screaming and moaning in the sheer pain, the teams 6th member Paul rushes to his aid. "Tell Michael to be quiet! I don't want our location to be acknowledged!" Howls Sarge.
Quickly the minutes go by as Michael heals the wounded marine. "I want you to at least hold a pistol, we can't have less firepower" Michael ordered with calm compassion.

"Sarge!" Ron shouts "Ryan is heading west without direct permission, he is getting out of range of our trackers!" The start of the mission seems hazy already, with a wounded, and a member of the squad taking objectives in his own hands.

Sarge massages his chin in a circular motion trying to think. "Leave him, he'll either come back or die, our objectives are on a timer, if we fail these objectives the cost will be great!"

My comments: It's a raw very short first part of a mini adventure that I was working on out of sheer boredom. I haven't really went over it to check for imperfections relating to; grammar, spelling, fixes you know the ordeal. Comments, and ratings are more than welcomed and give me a heads-up if you want the rest of the story to be written. Thank you.
PS: This is the first time I've ever written something serious in my head, and shown it to the public.

Info: Squadron Eight in my opinion is a squad (goes without saying) that is more than the normal case marine squad. Yet they go on missions that lead them to their deaths, and if they're lucky enough survive. It's called Squadron Eight because it consists of eight members; Ryan as a cocky, yet quiet infantry, Sarge as the normal kind of leader who is mean and shows no signs of compassion, yet. José, and Ron who are as close as brothers who both wear the (PLEA) suit, and Michael the team medic who seems compassionate.
For now we have 5 total guys being named, 3 more to be revealed later on the story if people like it.
