I think it IS Noble one and not Nova One...also Noble one IS Sierra 259 (Spartan-259) who is obviously a second class Spartan II because the first class' numbers only went up to 150 (as far as i am aware) because there were 150 Spartans in that class so surely a Spartan-259 would be in a second class.
Oh and my proof that Noble One is Spartan-259 is that a Spartan wouldn't just randomly but into a conversation between a UNSC Officer and someone else and it would also have to be a secure line if the Officer is directly contacting one person (Noble One) otherwise the entire UNSC (and Covenant) could hear his broadcast...SO Spartan-259 wouldn't be able to listen into Noble One's conversation unless he WAS Noble One.
of course a Pelican named Nova-One or another shuttle (like the one in Fall of Reach that was carrying the Spartans, but was shot down) could easily be what they're referring too.
In Halo 3, Spartans -regardless of # - were called Sierra's, such as the Spartan calling himself Sierra-259 (MC's Sierra-117). Why give a spartan another name? Unless of course it's referring to a group of Spartans, in which case it would be Noble Ones, which it's not.
So let's go ahead and agree that either Noble One has nothing to do with Spartans - creating that sense of interruption that you thought wasn't probable, or agree that it's Nova One, the potential Pelican drop-ship transporting these Spartans.
Sound good?
