I have just rented Ninja Gaiden and played it for an hour. At the end of this hour, I was throwing my controller through the window and ready to stomp out my Xbox. What... the... -blam!-?! That game is impossible. I got to the first boss. What are you supposed to use? Fancy technique? Screw it, I'll take the shotgun. Just hell no. Has anyone here wasted some of their life beating this game?

It is a very fast game but to win you have to use the same move over and over and the computor doesnt learn. I cant beat the second boss because I cant find a combination of moves that work. Jumping off the wall and doing the big shockwave is all that is effective on the second boss but it's not good enough. For the first boss block, quickly attack but not all the moves in a combo, block etc. eventually you have to move to the other side of the room. Jumping and shockwaving before blocking works but the game is stupidly frustrating for it's fast-pacedness (not a word) to be fun. It should be that you are too quick for most enemies and have the satisfaction of lots of enimies falling at your might but it still being challenging. Play Devil May Cry 2 (they need a Devil May Cry 3)

well you just need to practice more. its not a game for pansies who give up before the second level. if you dont put in the time and effort to learn how to play the game, you dont deserve any of the satisfaction from it. i have beaten the game on Very Hard. no easy task, but i didnt give up

oh and Chrisper, Devil May Cry 3 has been confirmed

To keep to the topic, the best way to kill the first boss is to block all his anitial attack's and when he's of guard... GIVE THE B****** HELL!!!

Well, Nedus, that's your opinion on games. I know my strong suite is the shooter genre, and I have yet to find a game I couldn't beat. Maybe I'll stick to American games whose developers know how to please. Of course, others completely suck in my genre. I'm trying to decide if you're lying about very hard, but it would help if you told me how long it took you to beat it. I mean, I play single player games for fun and scares (Doom III is out August 3rd!), and multiplayer games for the satisfaction of a kill. After all, humans are the best prey if you're looking to prove yourself. Just ask my clan if you must know. Anyways, that's all I'm writing because the forum editor is going incredibly slow right now (goddamn Micro$oft and it's IE; I use Mozilla).

When I borrowed it from my friend, I beat it on normal three times and thought I was king of the world. then I thought I could easily kick everyone's butt on very hard, just because I had mastered a few moves, like the izuna drop. needless to say, I was very wrong.

I died soooooo many times that It took me a whole night to get to chapter 4 and then I got stuck cuz I was out of money so I couldn't buy any elixir. (sob)

Yep, I have a strong feeling that Team Ninja likes -blam!-.

[edit] Heh, I didn't realize that was censored. Hopefully you can fill in the blank. [/edit]

Team Ninja made Ninja Gaiden specifically to give American gamers, who they consider to be more "hardcore" than other gamers, a challenge. And a challenge it is, wouldn't you agree?

I'm trying to decide if you're lying about very hard, but it would help if you told me how long it took you to beat it.

What purpose would it serve for him to lie to you? He was trying to help you, and you doubted him.
There are three levels to the game, Normal, Hard, and once you defeat the game once on either difficulty, Very Hard opens up. It's a challenge for those who beat the first two difficulties.
The length of time it took him to beat it is going to be different than the time it'll take me, or you, or someone else, to beat it, because we all have different playing styles and skills.

Ninja Gaiden isn't as hard as it first seems, really. Practice (as with all things in life) makes it easier and more fun.
Enjoy the game, or don't.
No offense intended.

Yea, as much as I hate to admit it, you all are right. I'm used to breezing through games because of my supremecy in the shooter and RTS genres.

ninja gaiden is a great game because it takes style. it has the pace and level of fun of a button-mash game, but you have to think like an rpg. you have to use the right combo of weapon, moves, and magic but its not turn based. does not suck

Ninja Gaiden was a -blam!-ing easy game, what the hell are you guys talking about. It only took me a few days. Not hard at all... You just have to have good senses, study what the enemy does, and have a quick reaction time...

The hardest boss was Alma, lol. I had only 1 potion and I won after a long... time... But, I did help one of my friends who had no health pots, but at that time, I knew every pattern/attack she made.
