Thus I refute thee

or least i think it does, people are saying that reach is the planet from the halo 3 legendary ending, er how, reach was destroyed before halo 1, ok so the theory will still remain but the planet from the legendary ending could be the dyson sphere or the portal or what ever you wanna call it, right anyway back on course, ODST as we know is based around halo 2, yes, well this is a view from a different perspective none the less and it's basically like telling the bits we missed, aha now what do books normally do that the game or film doesn't; tell the story in more depth. See where im going?, basically ODST will cover part of the story, to kinda keep us on track with has happend; because chief isn't really this great warrior spartan, no he is one of many spartans that do STILL exist, he's just refered to as the 'lucky' one. anyway, Reach by my knowledge of the books, i have a theory that Reach will fill our minds with the knowledge and history of the other spartans, the ones that are MIA not KIA, many of course were killed in the battle of reach, for instance Spartan 255, oh well now there's a coincedence, they just happened to mention him in the trailer, anyway reach will fill our mind blah blah, thus filling us on the small parts and in theory recreating the battle for reach and maybe Ghosts Of Onyx, well Kurt 051 (oh in my opinion, by far fav spartan, better than chiefy) saving the others as well as dr halsey, anyway....this is where it leads to, wait for for it,,, halo 3 legendary ending; the planet, by what i think and know is most likely this dyson sphere, they say that the planet was made up of sentinels (doesnt the planet look rather mechinal rather than habited with enviroments) this is where it could lead to the end, chief finds this planet, discovers his long lost buddies and typical happy ending where a grunt is happy and crying, the end.

i dont really know what happens, its only a theory that i think will happen, looking around at other people's threads i can see many different theories that make sense and some that are like, er what....... and some to do with the banner and who they are, but for serious though just what the uckfay are you guys arguing about some dam spartans on a horizon, i bet bungie must read this and love it, they must laugh hard and then when they see something that might be right think ohhhh dam, better go kill the puny head guy and recon his body for a celebration.....

This would be a good time to point out that the US Government seriously did consider nuking the moon during the Cold War as a show of force. Project A119.

"A large explosion on the Terminator line would put the sun behind the mushroom cloud, making the explosion visible with the naked eye from Earth."

Then the US decided they'd just send in Neil Armstrong to land on it. Neil Armstrong - the one man on the earth that was considered a suitable replacement for a nuclear missile.

I read it. It makes sense, but you should have used some grammar to make it easier to read.
