Subject: Will Reach have the same health and shielding as Halo 1?

This would be a good time to point out that the US Government seriously did consider nuking the moon during the Cold War as a show of force. Project A119.

"A large explosion on the Terminator line would put the sun behind the mushroom cloud, making the explosion visible with the naked eye from Earth."

Then the US decided they'd just send in Neil Armstrong to land on it. Neil Armstrong - the one man on the earth that was considered a suitable replacement for a nuclear missile.

It's the same kind of armor as in Halo 1, so do you think it will have the same health and shielding, or go with Halo 2/3's idea?

I can only hope. Halo 1's UI was perfect, imo.

Although, I do like how Halo 3's shows what your secondary weapon is.

You can't outrun Death for ever.

But you can make the bastard work for it.

HALO 3

If they make it accurte then yes but the halo 2 and 3 style i believe would be the best option.

Halo: CE > > Halo 3 > Halo: Reach = Halo 2

Halo 1's health and shields is not about the looks of anything, but how they worked. Halo 1 had a visible health system that did not regenerate, but needed health packs. The shields were only marginally different then that of Halo 2 and 3. But they did take fall damage.

I would welcome a return back to Halo 1's health and shield dynamics.

I want it to play like halo 3 but much more improved.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Yeah i think the armour should be the MJOLNIR Mark V which was the one that the Spartans got that had shields and the health bar system, so i think it should stay like that, anyways i like more like that way, its more of a challange in Campaign then how the armour is in Halo2 and Halo3.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

Halo 3's health/shield system.

Health packs are so last gaming generation. Like all games now (Halo 3, GoW, CoD, Mirrors edge, Prototype, etc.) you dont have a visible health bar. Instead, you take cover and let your health regenerate.

This is IMO, the best health system so far. Keep it that way.

It should be similar because it takes place basically at the same time. (Therefore the armor should be exactly the same)

But it wont make sense they cant have the new system of armor before you get it in halo 2

Well, let's think: The chief, during the battle of Reach and on the Halo ring in Halo CE, had Mark V armor, hence the shield/health system in that game.
In Halo 2 and 3 he had Mark VI armor, which had the shield system.

If Bungie makes sense, it'll have the shield/health combo, which is much better.

It's all up to bungie.

Put it this way. In halo 1, they did implant the health pack system. However, that was back on Xbox, and like all other games, they also used health pack systems.

Once Xbox started to get to its higher limits though, Halo 2 was going with the flow, and updated the health system.

Now on 360, you rarely see health packs on these kind of games. So I highly doubt we would see Halo 1's health syle come back.

Besides, I perfer the new system. It would ruin alot of Halo: Reach if they returned to Halo 1's system.

Ignorance is not an excuse, EVER!

why do people ask questions that no one knows the answer to, and if they do they aren't talking.
