Hobo Grunt's mother died, so everyone thought 'Sum1 ded! This will be funeeh! LAFFF AT ME NOW THAT I MAKE FUN OF DED PEPEL'.
They get a special place in hell.
What i want:
1. Better hit detection. The gun that requires arguably the most skill in halo 3, the battle rifle, works on a dice roll system. Bungie themselves showed us how it worked, and if you look at what they wrote, it basically says that there is a certain percent chance that each bullet of the br burst will hit. This is ridiculous. Reward us for our accuracy. If our crosshair is on their head, give us a headshot.
2. Longer ranged weapons. The only long ranged weapons were the laser and the sniper. Whats the point of making maps like sandtrap and avalanche if you can only kill someone from 100 feet away or closer? The br's range should at least doubled, and every gun in general should be able to shoot farther. 90% of battles in halo 3 are done within close quarters, with the exception of sniper battles.
3. Fall damage. Not only does it make sense because of the older armor we will be wearing, it adds a huge amount of strategy into the game. If some guy managed to get to the top of a sniper tower, and someone else works really hard to get him to no health, it isnt very fair that he can just drop off the other side, and escape unscathed. This would also prevent people from jumping out of flying vehicles when being tracked by missiles. You got into the banshee, you were a juggernaut powerhouse for a few minutes, now a guy on the other team has a missile pod, its time to die. You should not be able to decided you dont feel like dying and just jump out and run away. If you take a banshee, be prepared to try and evade missiles.
4. Nerf melees. A melee should be a finishing move, a coup de grace. What the hell is this a melee takes away more shields than a direct hit from a fuel rod or brute shot? This very often defeats the purpose of shooting, in a game that is a bloody first-person shooter. How often do you get into an ar fight that doesnt end in a dual melee pointless death that didnt let the better player win?
5. Less overall shield power. Also makes sense with the armor well be wearing, but it would benefit gameplay. Dont make the shields useless, but make it possible for maybe like 3-4 headshot kills with a br instead of 4-5. (not as important to me, but would be nice)
6. Melee lunges. I dont think i need to explain why the game rotating your character 90 degrees just so he can land his melee doesn't make sense.
7. Field of view must increase. First of all, i feel like im looking in tunnel vision when i play halo 3. Second, when i walk into a room, i should only have to do a quarter turn each way to see the rooms corners, not a full 90 degrees like i have to in halo 3. It makes camping incredibly easy, and doesnt gave you a chance to see someone who is a few feet to the left of you.
8. Take a hint from the call of duty series. I do not want Reach to feel like cod4, thats not what im saying, but i think it would be very smart of bungie to incorporate some sort of rpg element into the multiplayer. Ex. when you reach a certain amount of exp you can choose to start with stickies instead of frags. Armor perms should be unlocked through exp, not achievements. After reaching a certain level players can choose what weapon they start with ( not all weapons are possible. Only pistol, AR, and BR) Simple perks, none with enormous advantages (Spawn with 2 extra clips instead of 1, or like increase your walk8ing speed by 15%)
9. More customization. Let me color my visor different tints, let me have different leg and arm perms, custom color tints for my armor(Shiny, metallic, etc.) Let me pick the color of my crosshair.
10. Halo 3 had a lot of things that got people frustrated ( bullets dropping, hits not registering on elites, and just general balancing problems. I expect most of these to be fixed.
11. All guns should be useful. Be honest, how often do you pick of a plasma rifle or spiker? guns like this should have a purpose.
12. One more thing. The True Skill system must go
I'll update later if anyone else has some good suggestions
