if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?

it's funny when morons who know nothing about game design come on here and act cool.
The fact is, the seven-wood merely is code included with the map to pull up the gravity hammer's weapon tag and alter it for that specific instance.
It's like a sealed box of fruit, one where you can only take out fruit, not add fruit. Take an apple out, and paint it orange. Fact is, it's still an apple under the surface, and tastes/ages/moulds over like an apple. You merely modified it a little bit.
What you're suggesting is adding a brand new fruit to that sealed box.
Halo 3's code was only designed for map packs as DLC. So far as I know, stuff like armor and weapons use a different mechanic within the game's engine, and are locked in place. Adding one would mess up the algorithm used for finding the referenced files, and then you would have to go back and recalibrate everything that trees off from that.
If you don't understand that, why are you even arguing on this matter.
alrighty, i see your view.
since you are clearly more educated than me on this, please explain how ODST runs off halo 3's engine, yet they added the VISR, new weapons, etc?
guy right below me (uncle)- i know it's a reskin. i'm just saying that they cloned and reskinned the hammer into a new weapon. as in it takes up it's own space, and all that.
