Hi check out my YouTube vids at M3naceProductions

I think the biofoam would keep you from dying longer, so like, maybe your health keeps depleting as you run.

Kurt from Ghost of Onyx used alot of biofoam. By the time of his death, he was so messed up he was basically a biofoam, guts, and blood soup floating in a suit of armor.

I heard someone say once (paraphrasing here) "Multiflag on Blood Gulch with your friends is what makes Halo, Halo." I GUARANTEE that more people agree with that sentiment than "Getting a 50 in MLG is what makes Halo, Halo." - Oboewan42

Revive systems generally reduce the difficulty of a game dramatically. Gears and Army of Two are great examples. The hardest difficulty isn't even hard if you cannot die.

Also I can't see someone in multiplayer helping a teammate unless it's an elimination match. Seems pretty pointless to add because of this.

those games are where you can nearly almost revive. halo reach would have maybe one or two revive equips a minute and the teams are constantly competing for them.

I love "Luck"

Last I checked they don't revive enemies on GoW. They slap 'em on the back and tell 'em to get the Hell up.
Now, on Reach, that would be a good idea, but only because it would be stupid to see the normal Halo re-spawning.

  • 06.11.2009 6:08 PM PDT

A cool feature for reviving is to have a piece of equipment that is the Halo 1 Med Pack. You use it once to throw it at a teammate that is waiting to respawn. It sort of goes with your revival idea.

This would be a cool addition to reach multiplayer I havent seen yet.

Yes, this is completely new.

  • 06.11.2009 6:49 PM PDT

Yeah revival equipment could work.. you could start each round with 3 (med packs or whatever you call them) and you cant use them yourselves, only hand them out, so teamwork would be vital. That could work.

How about a CPR revival system? Triggers to breath into mouth, click left and right stick in at the same time to get the oxygen flowing. Good, no?
How would you do this through a helmet? And why would CPR be needed? Is the Spartan going to have an asthma or heart attack?

  • 06.11.2009 10:29 PM PDT

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

i think armor would have built-in defibralaters

  • 06.12.2009 1:47 AM PDT

Confound these ponies, they drive me to insomnia.

Also, Applejack ftw.

IGNORING EVERY POST HERE...

I like this. Alot. With a squad like this, and the durability of spartans, you totally should be able to do this.

You see, I always found it un-believable in every single way that a plasma pistol shot, or a carbine shot would bring down a spartan without a Hull Breach.

I wanna see visual breaches. I wanna' see armor chip and scar. That is what we need. All the way down to the Gel Layer.

But yeah. A revive system is needed. Also, what was with the Gears of Halo comment? GoW did NOT think of the Revive system. Republic Commando didn't either, but boy did it ever pull it off perfectly...

People think if you have an idea for this game and some other game has done it before, that you want this game to be EXACTLY like that game. Its ridiculous. Thank you for the support though.

What about two types of equipment?

Supplies- Biofoam etc, to directly preserve or prolong health- the invincibility pickup from the H3 would fit into this section.

Equipment- Bubble shield, all the usual things that you can use to indirectly prolong life

If you're downed, you can use the supplies etc.

And let's make it so you can take cover behind conveniently placed, low walls.

And then we change the Chiefs first name to Marcus.

And the rename the series "Halos of War" or "Gears of Halo".

Sorry dude but revival systems just don't belong in Halo.
Then we can set the game back 610 years. And give Chief a Tommy Gun. And a syringe

Defibralaters

I think by 2552, we'll have something a bit more advanced.

Like magic. SPACE magic.

But you've got to admit having some sort of revival system would drastically alter the way we play Halo. And I think it would be more trouble than it's worth.

  • 06.13.2009 1:31 AM PDT

Just because something has already been used doesn't mean it can't be used again. If we all thought like that then there would only be one of every genre, no two game mechanics that have been used before would be combines, and we'd likely still be driving around cars that get around ten miles to the tank. If something works, use it; a lot of games use a re-worked version of Halo 2's matchmaking system. Why? Because it worked, so well in fact that almost every game that releases now uses some form of it, at least on the Xbox. So please, don't make silly comments, cover could work in Halo, so long as it still feels lke Halo. And I don't mean plays like the previous Halo games, but feels like Halo.

In Campaign maybe this would be fine and is more immersive than respawning. But in Multiplayer hell no. Gears of War has TERRIBLE multiplayer so anything that would make Halo more like it is a big no no in my opinion.

Call of Halo: Grand Theft Gears of Reach: Vice City

Back on topic . . .

thats basically ripping of gears of war

  • 08.07.2009 4:02 PM PDT

...

At first, i liked the idea, but then i realized that this communtiy wouldn't risk ruining their killing spree for trying to save their teammate.

"Im running straight past you sucker!"
"Every man for himself!"
"The survival of the fittest!"
And so on..

They could work out the system on how you revived them.. doesnt have to be like in other games. It could have its own Halo feel to it.

You mean like teabagging chest compressions?

Yeah... don't think its going to work out.

A revive option would be pretty bad ass for reach. Like you get shot and you fall, and a teammate can revive you to get back up.. but at the same time its an easy double kill for the other team because you got one man down and another helping him. This would be a cool addition to reach multiplayer I havent seen yet. They could work out the system on how you revived them.. doesnt have to be like in other games. It could have its own Halo feel to it.

Just an idea.. and I know this isnt CoD or whatever the fanboys are going to say. Its just an idea.. and like I said.. the developers could come up with their own way to make it their own. And not like other games..

- Could be cool in campaign when you are fighting with other marines.. it would make you work as a team. You could revive them and vice-versa..
[blatant sarcasm]Y'know what would also be cool, if you could pick up the opposing player who is down, use them as a shield! Oh, also if you don't want to use them as a shield, you could just kill them really brutually! Like, curb stomp, or take your rifle and bash thier head in with it! Oh man, could you imagine![/blatant sarcasm]
