I think a revival system would only work if u had classes wich would be prety stupid if u had to wait for a medic to get to u

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

How about a spawn system? Oh right, we allready have that and it's over 9000 times better than a revival system.

9003 actually.

I doesn't fit into the Halo gameplay. That really only would fit into semirealistic shooters like Farcry 2 or CoD 4. Stopping to revive a downed teammate just slows the game down too much and thats not what Halo has been.

Uh I'm a bit of a noob, what's an "Achronos"?

Nintenman7: Apply yourself... Seggi31: HHHHNNNNNNGGGGG

This isn't CoD. (As the fanboys would say)

No offense, but I would just hate it.

I'd like it if in Firefight, once a player dies, instead of having to restart or wait for them until the next round, it'd be awesome if one of the other players could run to a terminal which can respawn dead players. The terminal should move, though, like every minute or 30 seconds and more rapidly every level. Just a thought. This would be nicer than the revive system IMO, but it couldn't really be implemented in campaign. Firefight is gonna be in Reach, I hope, so this'd be awesome.

Yeah but what if a gametype was where you only had a certain number of lives.. you know like the infection game "save the last bullet".. Then it would be to your benefit to help your teammates out.

Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him, because he can take it. He's not a hero. He's a Silent Guardian, a Watchful Protector, A Dark Knight

if this game had revival bungie would need to rethink their multiplayer altogether. This is faster combat than lets say, gears of war. gears is more team reliant when halo is more like, i can go out and do all the work. The gameplay is faster on halo. The weapons wouldn't work with the revival system. It would be like playing a game from a different company.

Everyone saying "Gears of Halo" or something along the lines, please stop. This person is trying to be creative and expand the halo gameplay, while you guys pretty much just want halo 3 with better graphics. Don't be so narrow minded. The only way Bungie can improve the Halo formula is if someone creates an idea. Sure a revival system might not be the best for Halo, but you guys do this with every new idea someone comes up with.

Die? Haven't you heard? Spartans never die.

I HATE FANBOYS!!! The next person who riducules the creator of this post by saying "Gears" and "Halo" in the same sentence is going to die a horrible death in Matchmaking, possibly on fire. No one is trying to copy anyone, SHUT UP!

On a different note, y'all realize that is the perfect oppotunity for a team killer, like myself, to whack a team mate, right?

Its ok. I love a good fanboy every now and then.

Why is everyone above me being so negative? It's a great idea, and with the Bungie magic, could work quite well. Maybe not in multiplayer, but in sinle-player, yes.
It's a bad idea actually. It would slow the games pace down dramatically.

Call of Duty seems to run pretty smoothly.... IF they can make a good system of reviving people it could be implemented in co-op quite effectively.

This is my signature nub.

So now Halo is Gears? How about you let Bungie do what they want?

For starters, this is more like GoW than CoD.

Second, generally when people die on a battlefield, there are not people running around with shock paddles to bring you back up.

Third, even if they hit you with shock paddles that somehow were able to be used through your armor, you would still have a critical wound and would die shortly after.

Finally, this would not only lead to double kills, if you were in a party and were split up with someone being on the wrong team, then they could easily conspire with you to constantly revive someone so you can just pick them off again. Easy killionaires and perfections for all

Yeah but this could be successful in campaign play. You know.. revive your marines/ODST's, whoever youre fighting with.

how about this you can not get revived if the last shot is to the head was it that hard to think that up

  • 08.07.2009 7:58 PM PDT

If it's something like Rainbow 6 Vegas, where you inject your team mate, and it actually takes time, it would be great. If it's something like Gears of War, where you revive your team mate instantly by simply lifting them up, hell no!

  • 08.07.2009 8:06 PM PDT

Reminds me of Star Wars:Republic Commando :o

  • 08.07.2009 8:35 PM PDT

Irony makes the strongest men fall to their knees!

"So you gave him CPR for a bullet wound in the head?"

If you don't know that quote get the hell off of Halo, now!

No, just no. A revival system is just retarded because if a person gets shot in the head why the HELL are they on the ground still ALIVE!

Dude no revival system if people realy cared they would have posted that question the first chance they had. You get shot you die nothing else. Save that crap for gears of war

Resident Battlefield: Metal Gears of Halo Theft Auto Cry 5 comments aside it wouldn't work well in Halo. First of all it would generally be suicide to spend time to revive a squad mate. Then you have to consider the pace of the game, Halo should be fast as in Halo: CE. There shouldn't even be time to stand on a flag until it returns, as in touch return. I think Halo plays much better that way and I've heard many people say the same. All the people saying it can't happen cause its CoD are idiots but honestly it wouldn't work.
