Halo 3 O.D.S.T september 22, 2009 with silenced wepons also comes with all the map packs on halo 3

I think a revive system would be great. You could carrie downed allies to a safe arrea and revive them with like this shock reviver that every one gets when they first spawn. they should get only like 1-2 or make that ajustable in like a custom games sorta game. and I think that once you are revived you SLOWLY, VERY SLOWLY lose health and you cant re-charge your health ( cause you've been damaged). If you get downed agian well.. you just die from so much damage.

Yeah I would suggest this mainly for campaign.

  • 08.08.2009 9:22 AM PDT

Matchmaking could work.. but a-holes like myself would run past fallen comrades, or just shoot them in the face instead of helping them up. However in campaign, it could be somewhat successful. You would have more help in missions with the more healthy marines at your side.

  • 08.08.2009 1:34 PM PDT

I say no. This doesn't really work out that well in most games.

  • 08.08.2009 1:41 PM PDT

Bungie doesnt create "most games." They create "their games" which are the "only games" worth buying.

  • 08.08.2009 1:49 PM PDT

"If you push this button. Someone. Somewhere will die.

BUT.

You will, hey wait! Didn't you wanna hear what you'd get first!"

If we played as marines, weaker and easier to kill, then I'd see that as a totally plausible thing that would be fun. But if we stay spartans, then we I'd rather not see it, unless it is some form of option, because otherwise it would start losing its Halo feel in my opinion. That's part of Halo's system, the no revive thing.

Thats because they havent had it yet. Had they had it all along, guess what? It would have its "Halo feel."

every idea has been done in some game, somewhere. just because it is a good idea for another game it cant be used in halo? you guys just need to shut up and realize the potential that a new game can have

A revival system would slow down Halo 3's gameplay even more than equipment has. If anything for Halo: Reach, I would like to see a faster paced game.

Why is his gamertag thatlolguy?

thats basically ripping of gears of war

I see that you haven't been reading the above comments... But I think it's a good idea. I want a heavy emphasis on co-op.

How about a CPR revival system? Triggers to breath into mouth, click left and right stick in at the same time to get the oxygen flowing. Good, no?

Natal man. Just do it in real life and you do it in game.
of course, theoretically you could put anything into the mouth....
(you know what I'm thinking-- what's a famous act people pretend to do in halo? yes sir!)

You can't kill what's dead.

Stand. Fight. Resist. S2F.

And let's make it so you can take cover behind conveniently placed, low walls.

And then we change the Chiefs first name to Marcus.

And the rename the series "Halos of War" or "Gears of Halo".

Sorry dude but revival systems just don't belong in Halo.

I don't recall revival systems being in Gears...

No one can object to a revival system in campaign. It makes perfect sense. You go at your own pace in campaign and you would definitely want to help your comrades in missions. Hell, even certain missions could require that you keep your squad alive throughout the length of the campaign level. It would certainly up the difficulty level a notch.

blarg.

1- How are you supposed to revive them with a dirty big helmet on? It would take a while to turn it of, no?

2-That kinda stuff fits better in ODST.

  • 08.08.2009 11:15 PM PDT

You dont know what Reach will be like so how do you know whether it will fit or not?

And you dont have to take their helmet off to revive them. Im not suggesting CPR.

  • 08.08.2009 11:20 PM PDT

Perhaps an "injection" type of thing like in FarCry 2. I know this isnt farcry.. just using it as an alternative to taking off the helmet. Biofoam was suggested.. not sure what that is but yeah, something easy.

People need to stop saying "Gears of Halo OMG!" Actually, there were plenty of games that had a revival system before Gears, including Perfect Dark Zero and Star Wars: Republic Commando.

I mostly agree with the people who say that it should only be in single-player and that it would slow down the pace of the multi-player game. What should happen is that if they get shot in the head, the players immediately die, but if they get shot somewhere else, then they are downed. I think the bio-foam idea is excellent. Maybe you had a limited time where you could crawl to a health pack. Using bio-foam would extend the time, and if you found a health pack, you would return to full health, and the meter would stop ticking. You cold also be able to administer these health packs to team-mates. Bio-foam would work like another equipment slot, and it would be stored in your armor. You would have the option to release it when you were downed.
