Don't ever be alone!

*Caboose*

My brother has a veeeeery likly theory on the link between halo reach and halo 3....at the end of halo 3 legendary ending when chief is goin towards that strange planet...Its reach because in the reach trailer the guy says somthing about a unknown slip space rupture and i believe that it is chief going back in time because of the large explosion/teleporter thingy at the Halo 3 ending.....so i think wen it went off, chief and tha back half of the ship went back in time and flew towards reach wile "The Fall of Reach" was occuring... MAYBE?

JUST A THEORY!!! What do you think?

Please no negative comments....Thanx for reading!!!

No, it has already been confirmed Halo: Reach is based on the novel Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund.

Not to be mean, but It'd be nice if you just researched Halo: Reach for a few minutes before posting something like this.

Unlikely, but not such a bad theory. Forerunner tech has been known to mess with time when in slipspace before, so it COULD happen. i hope not though. That'd be annoying. I don't want to play as the Chief yet--new Characters are fun.

If I got 10 dollars for every stupid timetravel theory topic on this forum, I would be Bill Gates. No offence kid, but do some research. The slipspace rupture was the Covenant Armada attacking Reach, and Halo: Reach is a prequel. NO TIME TRAVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

THERE IS NO TIME-TRAVEL!

AND THE 2 PLANETS ARE NOT THE SAME!

Please read the other topics on this forum before making another, way overused theory.

They are mad because there have already been many, many topics saying this same thing. Think about this also, how could there be two Master Chiefs on the same planet?

Soffish for everyone!

Art and Halo = my life... pretty much.

The Suns are different colors and the Planet of Reach has VERY different structures than H3LP(Halo 3 Legendary Planet). Though supporting the connection, chief might be landing on a planet that is home to Forerunner capable of transporting him to Reach, also another theory about H3LP is that the planet IS Reach, but many (20 or so) of years after H3 Ends, we do not know HOW long chief has been in space.

If you want my theory, I say Bungie are doing a bit of trial and error with Halo ODST.

They've tried and tested using spartans, which obviously works extremely well. However now they're experimenting with using a more vulnerable and weaker character such as an ODST (main difference being the lack of jump height, speed and shields).

Of course we all know some of the key factors to Halo gameplay is jumping, movement speed/fluidity and shields. With the contrast of ODST and Halo 3, Bungie can actually see (few months down the line after ODST obviously, from seeing feedback), if the ODST character varient works better than a spartan.

I say they've spotted the success of other shooters such as CoD which use no shields and low jumping, and seeing if it can provide a better gameplay experience for Halo. It's worth a try and it also gives us a new experience in the form of a new expansion for Halo 3.

Who knows, I'm sure they've planned Reach to be played as spartans, but perhaps if Halo ODST works exceptionally well then they may switch the characters to ODSTs instead.

Reach has been in development for abut 2 years now, too late to change the story probably.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

That's not a theory. That's a poorly-founded hypothesis.

A "slipspace rupture" occurs anytime a ship enters or exits slipspace. Why anyone would think that this particular instance has anything to do with time travel is beyond me.

Additionally, the structural patterns seen on the Legendary Ending planetoid do not match the surface of Reach.

This is a crackpot theory and has been proven so time and again.

The Halo REACH Script (post thoughts in thread)

Writing Lead of Whisper Studios. Check out Heron!

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

LOLOLOL.

No. Reach is a prequal. The slipspace ruptures are 315 Covenant warships headed by the then-Supreme Commander Thel 'Vadamee (later known as the Arbiter) and at least one more, unknown, Admiral.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Havent you posted this same thread like 3 or 4 times? And every single time you have been wrong?

No. The other guy said "it's no mistake, It's them"
Them as the covenant. What a coincidence that as soon as that slip space rupture occurs all of the sudden Reach is attacked?
