The second disk is an exact copy of Halo 3 multiplayer... but with all the maps on the disk and it has three new exclusive maps.
You'll only need the H3 disk for campaign.

I got live!

Matchmaking is part of the Halo 3 multyplayer so it will be on the second disk. Also ODST uses the same engine as Halo 3.

Snakie Purple.

Twatter

I think I'll prefer ODST over Halo 3. Because it's Halo 3's multiplayer on one disc, and ODST's awesomeness on the other!

If there is matchmaking? No one would ever play Halo 3 again! If it has the ODST engine for the multiplayer then we are safe. If it has the Halo 3 engine then it is pointless. We saw on one of Bungies pages that you play as a Spartan... I'm just hoping my $60 will be worth it -_-

First of all, the "ODST engine" is the Halo 3 engine. The campaign might look better because Bungie is using the engine in better ways (similar to why each DLC set looks better than the maps that came before.) However, matchmaking will look the same as it always has.

Secondly, all of the map packs does really pay for itself because having all that DLC content on your disk, as opposed to your hard drive, saves you about three $50 memory cards worth of storage space on your HD.

So yes, it will be technically worth it even if you don't use the first disk.

I have heard that you install/copy the mpas to the hard drive and you can use it with HALO 3 cd and/or just the ODST disk, but no info could be wrong! So you dont have to keep changing the disks over from ODST to 2nd disk!

I dont see microsoft making it so you have to keep changing the cd when you move around, as at the mo in a co-op party, you can go from matchmaking to doing a mission!!! Smart thinking hehehe and they have said that there will be co-op!
