Loose talk is noose talk.
Bottom line: do you think Bungie should add scoring/achievements when going bird hunting in campaign mode?
Throughout the Halo trilogy, animals have been placed at seemingly random spots throughout the games. The first time (that I can recall) we could do this was in the level Gravemind in H2. In H3, the amount of animals (birds) placed in game was increased substantially. However, the method of interaction with them stayed the same (shooting 'em down).
In ODST, I really hope that Bungie fleshes out the method of interaction (by turning scoring on) to hunt down birds (giving 1 point per kill), and have the opportunity to gain achievements by doing this as well.
Think about it! You are cruising along the game on normal when you spot a bunch of birds gliding in the air approximately three hundred meters above you. With no other covenant enemies in sight, you pull out your sniper rifle and take aim. The first bird explodes in gory pieces. The others then immediately begin to scatter. With careful aim, you take down the remaining birds. However, you don't notice the flock behind you, and they rush to your position, attacking you aggressively. Pulling out your smg, you make short work of the other birds. You then notice you are surrounded by hunters and proceed to the last checkpoint.
BLEEP BLOOP. Achievement unlocked.
