All our dreams come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
The friend in my adversity I shall always cherish most. I can better trust those who helped to relieve the gloom of my dark hours than those who are so ready to enjoy with me the sunshine of my prosperity.

Remove it. (Not Ranks, Just the Visible EXP Count)
Did you play halo 2? If so I'll bet you remember...There was no exp. Yet halo 2 is still ranked #1 on the Xbox(Original) Charts, Why is that? Because halo 2 was the epitome of "A Fun Time" For a video-game. But you're wondering, What does this have to do with halo 3 and action-sack/custom games? Well back in the good ol' days We didn't play because we wanted some number next to our name that told us how many games we had lost or won, We played for enjoyment, just because we could play. Get out BR'd? Have a good laugh or say "Darn I almost won that one" Play a ranked game On H2 and lose? "Good game guys, we almost had ya!" All through this the only Numbers we had were the "Playlist Ranks" 1-50.
Most of us could care less as there was only a handful of people with 40+ and only 2 people with 50's Legitimately. I myself Hit the barrier at the Mid 20's in doubles. But did I stop playing because there was no "Gain" for me? No. Even though I could gain nothing from playing Halo 2, I played it anyways, just for kicks, fun, and to talk with friends.
The Same idea applies for Halo 3, But many people lose sight of what Halo is meant to be for. "Fun" Not some number telling you you've won 2000/3000 games.
My point is many people have lost track of what fun is because of this EXP System.
Go back to your roots bungie, and bring back the "Non-caring" Fun, competitive gameplay.
