It's like those hip musicians with their complicated shoes!

If violets are blue, then what colour is violet?

Which is a possibility. But it doesn't hurt to think outside the box.

Interesting theory, but guessing on the size of the rings on either moon or planet (maybe sandbox is on moon, we dont really know), id say they dont match...but i do see the resemblance. The rings on the planet of the reach trailer are much thinner.

Sandbox is located on/near Te, the Lekgolo homeworld. The planet description shares almost every similarity.

No, its not the home world of orange worms, it the Jirihalnae (brute) home world

Evidence?

So your saying scenery means absolutely nothing? Wow, say that out loud and you'll realise how dumb that sounded.

I'm with you. Scenery means just about everything when observing a map.

Sandtrap is not on Reach because Sandtrap is on the Brute planet. If you play Sandtrap, the map with the big spaceship, you'll notice that both the terrain and the setting are pretty much the same. Bungie already told us that Sandtrap is on the Brute homeworld.

Regarding Sandtrap, a popular thread on Bungie.net explores the reasoning of Sandtrap and its relationships with the other maps. Many players have used the Pan Cam feature to explore the Aegis Fate. Many theories have risen, including one that claims that Epitaph is one of the six towers. The thread has over 10000 posts.

However, these members forget that it has already been confirmed that this map is actually set on the Brute homeworld, and not on somewhere on the Ark.

But now let's analyze Sandbox, which nearly resembles Sandtrap in terms of setting. "This endless wasteland still holds many secrets. Some of them are held more deeply than others."

As we all know, Sandbox is set in the midst of a barren desert surrounded by many rolling sand dunes, similar to Sandtrap. Large Forerunner towers can be seen in the distance, just as the other map. Bungie hinted that, similar to Sandtrap, the Covenant may have also conducted archaeological excavations here. The map is based at sunset, with a ringed gas giant in the sky, and a setting sun on the horizon. This planet was not seen near the Ark, so it isn't on the Ark.

As far as l'm aware, Reach doesn't have a terrain like that. Seeing as your only evidence that points Sandbox and Reach together is with that one planet, then l'd say you don't have much of a point going.

Sanbox takes place on the Brute homeworld, just like Sandtrap. lt isn't on Reach.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

Why is it that every time someone sees the silhouette of part of a circle they automatically assume its a planet. Ever thought it could be.... i dont know.... A MOON maybe?

Thats sandtrap thats on the homeworld of Brutes.

Sandbox hasnt been confirmed of where it is yet

A soldiers sacrifice is never forgotten

I personally dont think that sandbox is on reach, it could be that moon thats obitting the planet close to reach. it wouldent make much sence because if a planet is glassed im pretty sure it wouldent leave that structure intact and i dont think the glassing would excavate the ruins. so im pretty sure that sandbox isnt reach.

I also have proof that humans were on sandbox, right know your probably calling me a super noob but listen, go into the crypt, its a totally enclosed structure, the only chance of light peeking in is through the top, yet the whole room is illumitated, well take a look at the light, you might have just thought they were normal ol' lights and overlooked the fact that they in fact are human light, now you might say that there just there because bungie dident want to half-ass it and make it look like light is just there. but we know bungie and they dont just do something without it being correct and have meaning. they could have put forunner lights or any other lights. But they put Human lights there. Therefor humans knew about the structure.

Remember that if a planet is glassed, it may not destroy Forerunner structures. Just look at the pounding that the Forerunner Dreadnaught took in Halo 3, and it didn't even get scratched.

Also, I doubt it is on a moon as, generally, moons have little to no atmosphere, and certainly no cloud cover.

I think you are mistaken mate.

Did you look at the two pictures that I posted?

The ringed planet near Reach is easier to see than the one on Sandbox.

I think that the UNSC would have noticed a big, Forerunner construct on the most vastly colonized planet that they happen to have. While it seems interesting to me, it also seems fairly impossible. I mean, big Forerunner ruins in the middle of Reach would scream stupidity if the UNSC didn't know about them, and they obviously wouldn't have.

Funny story, they did. Read Halo: First Strike.

And much of it was still yet to be explored. Dr. Halsey said so herself.

Honestly i think if you look closely on the first picture, there are 2 tiny little planets/ moons whatever. I think (possibly) that sanbox COULD be located on the planet in between the two.

the halo3 community must be one of the stupidiest ones out thier. they are not giving you recon when odst comes out u will have to earn it like everyone else does the vidmaster achiements unlock the beta for you. i mean at least think before you post a comment or make a desicion. if everyone could get recon then its value would be pointless

Well I don't think it would be on a moon as moon's don't tend to have much of an atmosphere.
