Halo 3: ODST in an Xbox 360 game. Xbox 360 games cost $60. Now let's all think for good long minute and be glad that Halo 3: ODST is not a PS3 game, because then it would be $80 and you'd really have something to cry about.

i think bungie is turning into greedy people. before they said "We do not view this as a $60 title, I think this is going to be a good value and a lot of content but we're not viewing this as sort of a full game release in the sense of Halo 3."

they are blatent liars, and that's the truth, no ways around it. just becauase the beta is in it now makes it worth more? come on. it's going to sell alot, so why not bump up the price. i'm not buying it now.

For the 100th time; Bungie do NOT price the game, Microsoft do.

Microsoft are greedy money grabbers, but who didn't know that already?

Your aware that Bungie do not set the prices, aren't you?

$60 is actually a bit too little for the sheer amount of content that is in Halo 3: ODST when compared to halo 3.

it has a bigger campaign than halo 3, firefight, and the entire halo 3 multiplayer, plus new maps and a halo reach beta... i think it's worth it.

I had heard that it is a much shorter campaign than Halo 3. Plus, I already paid for everything else that is included in the disc except the ODST campaign and firefight. Take away all the extra goodies that most of us already own, and it's crap value. I was looking forward to this, but now I think I'll skip it. If I do get it, it's for the Reach Beta. Even then, I'm sure 1/2 of us will get screwed out of the beta anyways.

For one, I am not going to buy it immediately now at that price point. I'll wait a bit for the reviews and than decide if it's worth it or not. 60 dollars seems like too much for a campaign and firefight.

Are you serious? Do you even know how to make a valid argument?

this is ho i think the price is being divided up
Campaign 20 bucks like a regular expansion in a great game
firefight 10 bucks
Multiplayer disk 2 which is the exact same thing as buying Halo 3 and removing campaign so that can be up to 20-30 bucks considering its the greatest thing in Halo 3
Mythic map pack 2 10 bucks

so in the end its 60-70 bucks i think the price is perfect considering in what youre getting

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

I think that it is worth the purchase for some, and not worth the purchase for others. Some will buy it, some will rent it, and some will never play it at all. That's really all there is to it.

His argument makes the most sense.

I can sort of justify a £40 price tag. I can see why some people are a bit miffed though, as Bungie originally stated that the game won't be a full price game.

The way I look at it:

£20 - Campaign
£10 - Firefight
£10 - New Halo 3 Maps

Though I have to say that it's annoying how Bungie have no say over the price of their own games. But I guess that's Microsoft for you.

One of the few and the proud, a Mythic Conqueror, I am.

All I can say is that I had better feel like I bought a whole game instead of an expansion. Otherwise, I will be ticked.

......... ps3 games aren't 80 bucks and bringing the ps3 into the equation has nothing to do with the price point. Therefore it is not a valid argument.

Repeat after me. Bungie does NOT control the price. MS does.

Bungie is a good story. A story worth supporting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bungie
Bungie is an American video game developer founded in May 1991 under the name Bungie Software Products Corporation by two undergraduate students at the University of Chicago, Alex Seropian and Jason Jones.

Pay Bungie. It's just that simple.

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. It was Microsofts decision to make it full price. Instead of going on a ignorant tirade, make sure you know your stuff.

I say it's worth it. At first, ODST didn't seem like much, but after what we know now, the Campaign will be amazing. Both open world and standard linearish, plenty to do and new weapons. A survival mode with co op, full theater and extras and Reach beta plus an additional disc with EVERY Halo 3 map included including 3 new ones and still having full multiplayer capabilities? That's worth my 60 Washington's.

I'm not gonna buy this game. I will rent it and beat campaign in 1/2 a day try firefight and still dislike survival mode games and re-rent it for the beta.....Don't like don't buy??? More like don't like and RENT.
