Here's Micro$ofts explanation for the $60 pricetag on ODST

I don't care about the standalone Halo 3 multiplayer disc, I've already purchased all the maps. There's enough argument and desire for an edition of ODST without the H3 multiplayer disc, I just hope someone important listens (not that that will ever happen).

I just want ODST, I don't care for the multiplayer disk.

To be honest, I'm not bothered. £40 isn't a bad price for a game.

Sure, but they're reasoning for the price includes the "whole Halo 3 multiplayer experience with all the maps." I've already got that! Why do I have to pay for it again?

Then there are the people who poop in the mash potatoes. Those people get launched out on their asses.

I think that the $60 dollar price tag has been more that justified through the extended campaign and the Firefight mode.

Cause Micro$oft is greedy, and people allow them to do those kind of things.

By adding that disk they are going to be able to sell it for full price.

I already bought M$ points to buy Mythic Pack 2... Now I see that I don't use it for what I bought it for but something other random.

For me, The ODST "special offer" is kinda bad deal :/.

But I don't care, I will pay it anyway.

Well of course I'm going to pay it, but this is my point. I feel like I'm being forced to spend money that I've already spent to buy maps I already have.

People are going to buy the game and microsoft is going to still charge the same price so if if you think not buying it will teach them a lesson i wouldn't do it.

Cruel world of business.

"Lets add something there that everyone already has and then let's make the price higher, no one is going to notice."

But I get another disk! Which I can throw out of window after I download the maps to my harddrive. Meh. They at least should have put all the content on one disk.
