I think they should make a better, complete level editor for Halo Reach.

Have a complete terrain editor where you can change the landscape completly and make whatever map you want to.

Have all the objects and scenery from the default levels and campaign availible for use.

Have individual wepon properties changes, such as how much ammo it has, damage, clip size, etc. for each gun you place down or for all you place. Also be able to change the the properties of vehicles, such as speed and gun damage, and be able to make it so that the engine or gun is broken, so its a stationary turret, or just a transport.

Have mission creator, where you can make a small coop mission against AI or other people, such as destroy a base, or capture an object/vehicle/person.

Be able you change the enviroment with night and day, and weather effects , such as rain, snow or fog.

Thats all I can think of at the moment. What else would you like to see in a level editor?

I agree, Bungie should make it like Far Cry 2's Map Editor.

No like Farcry 1's editor. The 2's editor was too damn complicated...

Mabey they should have a basic mode and an advanced mode, so if people want to make it complicated, they can.

Well it is. I mean, seriously now! It wiggles around, not movin'. Then as soon as you pull it toward your mouth... *PLOT* it falls on the ground. Then you have to go through some extreme difficulty to pick it up.

WWOOOOAAAAHHH!!! LIKE FAR CRY MIXED WITH LITTLE BIG PLANET!!!!!!!!!!

i totally agree with what your saying. a weather and terrain editor would be very cool on a map like sandbox so u dont have to make a sand map. and being able to make missions would also be fun with AI opponents. the forage in halo 3 is fun but its really frustrating. like when u are holding one object then try to delete it and u delete another object. or that u cant slide things across the floor easily. it is also hard to made things straight and level. all of these problems should be addressed for the reach forage.

oO( Underdogg13 )Oo

When Bungie designs levels, thay are rendered with only the weather they have that you see in the game. So unless Bungie changes their map-making method, a weather and time of day changer would be impossible with the current Halo engine.

i would like to make a sun that would rotate around the planet and that you could say how long it would take to go from night to day to night, EX: 5 minutes = 1 Day

And I disagree with that statement. I don't want it to be like another game. I want Bungie to put their own twist on things and make something that's Bungie original. They have the raw talent and skill to put together something better than Far Cry 2's editor and I'd really like to see them pull it off. Personally, I like to challenge Bungie and set the bar for them so ridiculously high that when they manage to make it over I'm utterly shocked and amazed.

thats why i had the idea of a simple mode and an advanced mode, so everyone can make a quick map like we used to, and then people who want to make a whole new map can.

Simple mode would be like the forge we have now, but with some changes like:

-be able to move in one direction. Eg. along the x, y or z axis
-being able to make objects float
-able to make any object static so it cannot move no matter what happens

Advanced mode would have all the extra features like terrain editing so everyone can do what they want.

You could switch between the modes through the start menu.

hes saying that if they have a good map editor then there wont be any need to to release new map packs because anyone can create them, and they might not want to do this as it will loose them money.

I think that it doesnt matter, because they can release offical maps through the game, and not through xbox live, who set the price, and they'll have more than enough money without the money from the map packs.
