Do you think for Halo:Reach Bungie will have a collectors edition that will feature an extra player model only accessible through the special edition of the game? Like say the game comes with 4 player models just sayin... like ODST, EVA, Mark V and Mark VI and you can get a special variant like Recon or w/e but only if you buy the collectors edition. I think they will and I think it's evil that game companies do this. I know you probably think well then don't buy it but I have a problem with buying collector games and I can't help myself. I think it would be cool in a way but idk... What are your opinions on this? Would you want something like this and do you think they are going to do it?

A collectors edition with armor permutations... no... if their going to sell them outside of the regular version, just do a download off the Marketplace.

DLC armor or special release armor is a mistake. If it is specific to purchase or product then that will mean that other games without it will not be able to render properly. In effect it would be like trying to play in a mythic required playlist without the maps. Armor should be set in stone, with no late additions via DLC or special purchase.

It would be like Recon. Already on the disk BUT only unlocked through code via Collectors disk.

That would be the only way to make it work from a technical standpoint. However I still think it would be a bad idea, people already piss and moan about the current distribution of limited armor in Halo3, adding more would just fan the flames IMO.
