Id like to see a Covie equiv to the Splaser. Something like a big electrically charged gun that charges up and shoots a "shockwave" of electricity that spreads as it travels and reduces all players within the field of the wave to a one shot.. doesnt kill them just leaves them one shot.. also locks up vehicles like the power drain.. essentially the power drain in a gun, but spreads like a wave outwards.

Why? The covenant have the fuel rod gun and the brute shot, the humans have the rocket launcher and the spartan laser. Every weapon doesn't need an exact counterpart just a counterpart that does the same job.

THE BRUTE SHOT?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!! First of all that is a "brute" gun.. hence the name.. not covenant. And second of all... that is what you compare to the Splaser?! REALLY? Have you played Halo before? Hello, Im from Earth. Where are you from?

To be honest I don't think the spartan laser will be making a return in Halo Reach.
Despite the fact that it works, the vehicle to anti-vehicle balance in Halo 3 was not the best.

>If you are infantry, without anti-vehicle weapons, and they have vehicles, your screwed.
>If you are infantry, and have anti-vehicle weapons, and they are in vehicles, they are screwed.

Hard to think of a situation where you are infantry, you have anti-vehicle weapons, they are in vehicles, and you have an equal chance at killing each other, and once the anti-vehicle weapon is removed you still have a chance at killing the vehicles.

Just think that it may be one of the areas they want to work on. The spartan laser made things a bit easy anyways.

Thats the theory behind rock-paper-scissors based gameplay. If the enemy has something big against you, try to find something bigger. Thats how multiplayer games work, you know.

Otherwise you could just shoot a tank with your pistol or spend a few minutes shooting a footsoldier with your Warthog gatling. Where would then be the point in taking vehicles or equipping power weapons??

Plasma Cannon? I think that's the closest they have.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant the Fuel Rod Gun.
