Subject: Wraiths on Security Zone

I thought the enemies that spawn are random but I got the impression that the two Wraiths will always spawn at the start of FireFight mode on the Security Zone level. Does this mean there will be predetermined spawns possibly on the other levels too?

no, wraiths are dropped in at some point, not necessary predetermined. Read the update more carefully.

If you play on Security Zone long enough you're bound to see Wraiths get deployed, but they aren't always on the field right away.

This was from the update. It said that if you went to the high vantage point right from the start, you would be unlucky enough to see the Phantoms dropping the Wraiths. This strongly suggests that they always start the game with two Wraiths.

Sounds like that means they won't always spawn at the start.

One of the reasons it seemed like Wraiths always spawned at E3 was that the firefight presentation that was so publicized was actually a film. In that recording, wraiths always came in the beginning, giving that impression to us at home.

Many players might find it valuable to head right up to the platforms at the outset to get a quick look at the Covenant Phantoms drifting in over the encircling wall and waterway. From this vantage, if you happen to be particularly unlucky to kick things off, you'll be able to see said Phantoms deploy a pair of Wraiths into the lower area.
See what I mean? If you go there at the start you will see them being dropped off. I figured the two Wraiths are deployed first to put the pressure on, so I thought this might be the case with other maps where a difficult enemy spawns from the start.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

This is just an example that has been shown over and over.

I would beg to differ. If you read the interview you would know that they intended to have the Wraiths on the map. I doubt they are included in the list of enemies that can spawn in any given round but rather as a map specific spawn. And if it always happened at the E3 plays of the the game this could be because it followed a set spawn pattern for the demo or that they are set to spwan from the start.

dude (or chick) is says if you happen to be particularly unlucky to kick things off.

that just means that if go go there, you may see phantoms, which would f*** you up.

it doesn't say phantoms spawn if you go there.

"if you happen to be particularly unlucky to kick things off"

I read that as saying if you are unlucky enough to make the first move and go to the high vantage point then what you 'will' see is...
