Okay then. I understand. But, someone needs to get Classifieds up and running again properly because right now, its a graveyard. And no one in the community can do it.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

I don't know if it can be "jump-started." What you're looking for (and I think it is a great idea) is a culture change in the community. It's less about Bungie doing something and more about us doing something.

"When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give EL1TE SUPR3MACY lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

I think a forum dedicated to Firefight match-ups seems appropriate. Not as good as a Matchmaking service, but possibly the next best thing to one.

Not incorporating firefight into the matchmaking system is a big mistake in my opinion. I loved the fact that Gears 2 (not to use an overused comparison) had Horde incorporated into matchmaking.

To me it just seems like they're selling themselves short, just my view on the situation.

I guess a forum would to a nice compensation, although a bland one.

Indeed. I was personally very upset with that decision. It puts this feature of ODST behind games of a previous year who more or less used Halo's original Matchmaking as a baseline. I could see that as a reason as to why certain people would buy it.

But, the game is done. I doubt anyone is gonna do anything drastic to change that fact now. This would be the next best thing.

I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death.

Hm, this is out there, but why not have one whole forum for finding games, and have "sub-forums" for specific....er....types of games? Like you could go into a "hub" then click on "Co-op games," "custom games," and then "firefight?" Keep in mind before you flame me that I know very little about web sites and the amount of effort it takes to make forums and maintain them...

But yeah, I agree with OP. Nice idea, just not too sure how much it's worth making a whole forum just for one feature.

You know what? That's actually a better idea. And from what I know of websites and forums, it not tough to make the forums but I think what's worrying the mods and admins is an increase in workload on the mods? I'm not sure but I feel that a forum like what I and slayerspiddey have suggested doesn't need much moderation as its incredibly focused.

Good idea Spidey!
