Listen, if Bungie wanted to they could have just sold the first disk. That would have resulted in a lower price.

They could have three packages.

Basic: Just the first disk and the new maps only.

Regular: Two disks.

Special: Two disks and controller.

But instead they decide to only sell the regular version and force you to buy -blam!- you already own... Which is what raised the price. Don't blame Microsoft. They priced it at what they should have. Blame Bungie for including stuff you already owned which caused the higher price.
MS could price it however they want. Bungie could include just firefight, and they could charge $100

We would all like bungie to lower the price if they could but they couldn't unfortunately even if they could have it's not going to change so we're going to end up paying $60 anyway or waiting 3 months until it lowers in price. As much as I would like the game for a lower price because I also have payed the extra money for the maps and halo 3, it's just not going to happen so we're just going to have to deal.

no its not as easy as you think it is

its their -blam!- game. if they really wanted to then they couldve
No, they can't. MS owns Halo, and is the publisher. They have %777 control.

if bungie priced halo odst at $1000 should i still think they are being fair and buy their game?

That is a completely unrealistic scenario. Just because it costs more doesn't mean that it's bungie's fault.

It is Bungie's fault! The reason the game costs so much is because they included those map packs. That cause an expansion pack to cost the same as a game. If they would have just had three separate packages like I said in my earlier post the basic could have cost less since there would be less content. Ignorance is not bliss!

No, even I, as a faithful fan, would lose faith. But, if you lose faith, you can not continue to call yourself a faithful fan.

bingie wanted a lower price but most of u think its all bungies fault and they tried a lower price but micro$oft loves money

true but if bungie wanted to change the price they could've

No they can't lower it. Bungie left Microsoft, but since Microsoft claims anything named Halo that Bungie makes they decide the price(s).

snake said no matter what i should stay faithful to the company so i was putting out that scenario for him
No, I said if you ant to call yourself a faithful fan, you have faith in them. Once you lose faith, you are no longer a faithful fan.

and how!

I've loved Halo since the first trailer, yes, the one where peoples heads bobble around like dashboard hula girls when they talk.

I'm a faithful fan, and I don't feel ripped off at all. And it isn't a bundle of old content, it is a brand new campaign with a brand new direction [that I have craved since the start...free roam...suppressed weapons....] and a new to franchise co-op mode, along with a huge expansion on the realm of ODSTs, the badasses just below the badasses we have been playing as all along.

Not to mention on top of all that "bundled up old content" we get 3 new maps that only come with Halo 3: ODST.

Frankly, I think you should just stop crying and either shell out the money for a good game or don't. A week after the pretty green paper has left your grubby paws you will have forgotten about it anyway, because you will be playing Firefight.

So if i said that everyone's opinion matters then you would take the opinion of a McDonald's fry cook on the topic of how to build a working spacecraft over that of a NASA engineer?

It's all a matter of realism and perspective. No matter how much we complain in this forum the price is not going to change.

Guess what? Saying that makes you a non-faithful fan.

no it makes me a faithful fan that feels cheated
No, a faithful fan doesn't feel cheated, he supports the company and agrees with them.

really so if bungie decided to price halo odst at $1000 should i still feel like they're being fair?
No, unless you want to be a faithful fan. You can't be a faithful fan with no faith in them.

No stupid, thats not what being a fan is, thats being a blind Fan-boy, someone who goes on sites about other games to talk about their game and blindly praise every little thing about it. You can be a fan and still not like every little thing about it.

Plus, he didn't say he didn't like it or wasn't getting it, he just felt cheated which you still can feel if your a fan. So shut up if you have no idea what your talking about.

Bungie does not control the pricing of their games, the companies that own the console(s) their product is made for controls the pricing.

If you don't even know who is setting the prices you shouldn't be whining that the folks at Bungie are terrible soulless people. They are gamers just like you and I, they just happen to be 7x more awesome.

Please, what he said is pretty obvious. He is saying that if the "soules jekrs @ bunji priced odst hier" he would lose faith, and you can't be a faithful fan with no faith. Meaning, he would no longer be a faithful fan.
