I think it's a great deal, and I have all the maps. Why don't you admit you need English classes and that you're wrong?

They have NO power in the pricing except recommendation, MS decides, they are the publishers

how??? campaign is worth 20 bucks, firefight is 5, maps 10, extras another 5.

you can't price a game like that. A lot of new games are all campaign

then what the hell was the point of bungie breaking away from microsoft??? i thought it was so bungie could make their own decisions?

They may have broken away but MS still owns halo and sets the price of all the games they publish

MS, as the publisher, decides the price /thread

I have actually thought of something like this, sort of like if you bring Halo 3 and a proof of purchase you drop ten dollars.

but whatever, it doesn't matter much to me.

dude whatever. quit whining. the campaign, plus firefight, will definitely be worth it. firefight alone will be unlike anything else. that plus the new maps and the campaign will be worth it. it's only 60 bucks. go get a job if it's that big of a deal

thats called being a fanboy not a faithful fan

Death to rank junkies.

Nobody is going to convince anyone here. Mittensworth, Bungie can't change the price. They wanted it to be $30-$40, but Microsoft has the final say. SnakeRunner, we understand that you have good grammar and that you consider being faithful and being a slave the same thing. Can this flame war just end?

  • 06.13.2009 6:18 PM PDT

Bungie does not have no control over anything Halo-related, therefore the price can only be changed by Microsoft as they own everything to do with "Halo".

/Thread.

"And my army of brothers went over the hilltops, drenched in blood we may be... But fighting is all left to me... Together with my army of brothers... Down we fall... Darkness in all... Through hell!"

Bungie couldn't change the price, or it would still be at 40$. M$ basically owns the IP, and as such get to name the price.
For who ever said we're paying them for "just a game", you obviously have no idea what kind of hard work goes into making one of those little flash games that still suck, let alone an actual next gen console shooter.
If the price is really that bad for you, get off your lazy *bleep bloop* and get a job to pay for it.
It's being priced at the normal price for a console game, and the maps always come out free eventually anyways.
And the split gave Bungie the freedom to make decisions about the actual game. not the pricing.
