$.50 in store credit.

Nope, $60 for sure.

Well apparently they lied. $60 for a three hour game is just absurd...

"What's the last thing a dead backseater ever hears from his pilot?"
"Watch this!"

I think it was a rumor going around on the forums about it but I could be wrong. I don't know for sure if they ever said it would be less than the sixty dollar price tag though.

It comes with fire fight, all H3 DLC, and Halo 3s multiplayer.

It's absurd that you didn't take the time to find out that Microsoft decides pricing, and that the 3-5 hour campaign was an approximation during early development. If you had taken the time to learn about ODST, you would learn that it has since grown, and Joseph Staten said in a walkthrough with IGN that the game "has grown considerably" and is "no longer just an expansion to Halo 3."

In other words, your paying $60 for a 3-5 hour expansion. If you already have Halo 3, theres no point in getting ODST.

I already have Halo 3's multiplayer, and the DLC for that matter. Firefight looks cool, but not $60 cool.

It was never "a rumor going around on the forums". I am not a forum junkie. I read EVERY weekly update and I specifically remember in many of them, maybe around February - March (Too lazy to go back and see), that it would not be "a full retail price game" here is a couple articles about this very subject on IGN. I dunno... I will still be getting the game,(probably pre-ordering it for Sgt Johnson, then sitting in the midnight line just like for every good game) it just urks me to pay so much for a 3-5 hour campaign. I need to know if there will be a separate multiplayer in ODST other than CO-OP campaign, Firefight and the halo 3 multiplayer.... I understand that it will be comming with all the halo 3 downloadable maps. Will there be an ODST multiplayer where it is pretty much the same as HALO 3's but with the new pistol, new smg, other new weapons(if there even are any.....) no dual weilding, and less jumping skills? i wouldn't mind that.... play all of the maps either as a Spartan or a ODST. Maybe respawning could be done by drop ship? that would be a little much but its an idea....

You people complain about ODST being full-retail priced when the CoD games are just as long and sell at retail. Also, as others have said, it was not Bungie's choice for the price, it was MSoft's.

This is true. And besides, it has 3 new maps, a beta ticket(pretty much), and firefight.
