Subject: Two suggestions for a better Reach experience.

First and foremost, please remove ANY kind of auto aim/ aim assist/ magnetism on the classic Rocket Launcher.

This is not a demand based on personal preference, it is a suggestion based on common sense. Nobody needs auto aim with the RL since you have to lead your shots either way and auto aim can't do that for you over greater distances.

I am confident that LOTS of other fellow fans are of the same opinion. Get rid of it, please.

Now I would like to address a completely different downside in the Halo experience.
Even though Forge is an immensely great and unbelieveably awesome addition (thanks for that!) it does not quite work the way you intended it to do. I have no problem with not being able to edit map geometry or design custom items or such. I know that it is intended to be a simple to use and fun object editor.

So, I would be pleased to see the Forge multiplayer working properly. We already have teams and some customisation for gametypes, but it would be really appreciated to see more gametypes supporting Forge matches.
Furthermore it would be really cool to have some kind of "editor-team" alongside with red & blue. Or maybe reserve one spot (or more) in every team for an editor.
(I am assuming that the Forge or a similar feature will return in Halo:Reach)

Remember, I am not demanding nor do I say that without these fixes the game will suck. In my opinion those minor fixes can expand the Halo experience to a greater scale.

I know that most of you are of the same opinion and I would appreaciate it if you support this thread by commenting and discussing.

I just want some Bungie employee to see this and write it on the mysterious whiteboard for Halo: Reach.

Five years older and wiser
The fires are burning, I'm fire, never tire
Slay warriors in the forests, and on hire

The thing is, forge can have SOME stuff added in, but it cant have everything because otherwise it wouldnt fit on the disc + it would be laggy. People want a Oblivion TCS like editor... it wont happen.

Forge should just add, being able to change item colors(even though this its self it hard because then bungie has to make multiple skins for the objects)

Being able to set things in the air and in to other objects with out having to start new round or place something underneath.

And being able to snap things too angles.

My troll sense is tingling.

I agree, although a friend of mine told me that auto-aim was something you fix on the xbox dashboard. But this is well thought out, more so than most suggestions I see so hopefully Bungie will consider this.

Even though it does exist, it does not work. You can still enter editor mode by pressing Start->Switch to Monitor mode.

Thank you darthnazgul for your feedback. I didn't know about the auto aim issue and its relation to the dashboard. That makes it a lot more difficult. Hopefully Bungie will find a solution.

Yes! Yes! YES!!! I hate trying to rocket someone just to have them jump and pull my rocket upwards enough that it goes under them, but doesn't hit them.

Also, remove the magnetism on grenades. It's really annoying, especially on a map like Construct when you are trying to throw a nade into a lift then a person goes up it and it totally wrecks your nade throw.

Nice thought about the grenade aim, but I don't think that it will be easy to implement.

Well, actually it is. The game could deactivate auto aim when pulling the grenade trigger and reactivate it when the grenade left your hand.

I approve of this!

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

I totaly agree with the auto aim thing. I would however like the option of removing it completely, it has disturbed me far more then it has helped me.
Here's another one I could think of:
Fewer one hit kill weapons. (Dont remove them, just decresease the damage).
Bungie! Remember why you came up with the rechargeable sheild? Well, it was to give players a second chance. And now with weapons such as the Spartan laser and the Gause Warthog it is simply too easy to get a kill, you dont even have to aim on the head.

Actually no. You can't do that anymore. If the host sets it to "Host only", then only the host will become editor. They fixed that problem

Sweet! I didn't know that. One step closer to perfection :D

Lemme just edit that out.

Still, I would like to see more Forge features like I stated beforehand.
