Ok well if you havent seen one of the NATAL devlopers did something with the Wii awhile ago to make head tracking on Wii possible. If you want to know what amazing effects that can have look At this video

Now picture what this could do with FPS games and tell me what you think.

Also if people are wondering how you would move forward and backwords in a FPS on NATAL you would simply place your right foot forward or backword to move is said direction and move your right foot right to move side ways that direction and same goes with left foot and moving sideways left. Also since NATAL can register full body movement beat downs, sword animation, hammer animations, and even grenade tosses can all be custom. picture shoving a BR into someones face, or showing a plasma grenade down an elites mouth XD

Time flies like an arrow; fruits flies like a banana.

I'd rather sit on my lazy behind with a controller in my left hand and a bag of peanuts in my right.

Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

That would be a fun for awhile but if it was the main, or only, way to play the game then I would stop playing very quickly.

obviously you would have the option to switch in between just for a custom melle system and more imerssive experiance you could use the the NATAL

I might do that for ten minutes, and then switch back to Lazy Mode. And who would ever use natal on multiplayer?

The only thing natal is good for is kid games and gimmicky gameplay. It's nothing more than a glorified wiimote (though in its defense the technology side of it is rather impressive).

the only issue is... how do you turn around?...?

  • 06.13.2009 7:26 AM PDT

....whut?

I'm pretty sure I can move my thumb half an inch faster than I could my whole body to the side - and that's not even counting the delays the natal system has (during the demo the was a noticable - 100ms-ish - delay between the actions and it being rendered). I like my reactions fast. I think I'll stick with the controller.

I'm a dude playing a dude desguised as another dude. I hate heritics, non-logical thoughts and people who are better than I am. People tell me that they like a lot of games, but I hate them all. Whenever I play a video game, I always go crawling back to Halo 3. Never go full retard!

Please don't put Natal in Reach bungie. Don't listen to this guy.

This makes no sense for a FPS. If you look left, you look left. Ooooooooh, good! But I'd like to look at the screen, too, so I can play.

and how!

Natal would work well for a corridor shooter, not a Halo game.

The only way I see Natal being entertaining for a Halo game would be if it used the voice recognition to make it possible to have small conversations/tactical chatter with AI.

For example: Telling your Marine allies to stay back until you take out the Sniper up ahead, or perhaps telling them to try and move around the enemy quietly and not open fire unless they are spotted.

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

How would you even turn round? Or turn in any direction for that matter?
