Just clearing this up.
The NTSC version of Halo 3 works on PAL consoles.
It is likely that the NTSC version of ODST will also work on PAL consoles.

So if you want Johnson and live in the UK, order from US amazon, it will likely work on your console. And if not, you can return it.

Erm how do you get that it works? Im pretty sure it doesnt, because the lasers read differently?

so many UK people are complaining that they won't be able to play as Johnson.
There's an option.

Dude I have a copy of NTSC and PAL Halo 3 with me.

Both work on my NTSC console, and both work on my PAL console.

It has nothing to do with lasers, what matters is if the developers put a region lock inside.

umm ok...

A 360 console bought in the USA = an NTSC Xbox 360
A 360 console bought in the UK = a PAL Xbox 360

Same for Halo 3 discs.
Sometimes game discs are region locked. However usually, as in the case of Halo 3, they are not.

Fair enough. But that doesnt mean that that will translate to the ODST game.

it is likely that it will.
Developers do not all the sudden start region locking their games.

And if they do, you can send it back and get a refund.
