There is no typo in the books.

Surely you've read Ghost's of Onyx, there were numerous grammatical mistakes in that book.

at least it's not like the Flood's and First Strikes random sex changes.

A guy turns into a girl, and back again. and it happens more than once.

also, in First Strike a LongSword magically transforms into a pelican.

I literally got my copy a few weeks ago off of Amazon (May 28th to be precise) so it should be the most up to date version...

Does it really matter? Would that affect the game play? Would it cause your xbox to go RRoD? Would it bring about the end of mankind? Probably.....

And no, it won't affect game play or give me RRoD because it is a book...Also, try reading more than the opening comment and you might see that i was merely checking if anyone else had the same thing in their book as i do in mine.

So i was reading through The Fall Of Reach the other day and i noticed that the dates in the chapter starters kept saying 2542 which instantly made me raise an eyebrow...I know for a fact that Chief escaped the Reach slaughtering in The Pillar Of Autumn in 2552, NOT 2542. The battle of Reach happened in 2552.

Bungie did not write the book, ms told one of their authors to write it. Because of that the books are not canon to the games. The Date failure is just one of many examples that show that the books are a different thing than the games are. Because of that Halo: Reach will not be The Fall of Reach the Videogame.

Eric Nylund DOES work at Bungie (as far as i am aware)...I know for a fact that Joseph Staten does and i'm not too sure about Tobias S. Buckell. Microsoft pay them to do it but it IS Bungie guys doing the hard work and if they aren't directly writing it then they are constantly reading drafts of it and correcting the author on the canon...The Halo books ARE the canon of the Halo Universe; i learnt more details from one book than i did the entire game franchise.
