It would cost $40 and have everything that ODSTs has expect for the extra Halo 3 stuffs that we already have. It would solve the problem. If people don't agree then they can just buy it for $60.

NO SOUP FOR YOU

Right on!

Agreed! They could go one further and make the campaign and firefight as DLC.

So you are saying Bungie should release an incomplete game?

  • 06.13.2009 3:03 PM PDT

That wouldn't work. The OP would make a standalone dics, minus the Halo 3 content. You wouldn't be able to play the second batch of Mythic Maps.

Stupid idea, they can't change it now anyways.

The new maps arent exclusive to Odst. They'll be made available as DLC for Halo 3 so those who buy Odst are being forced to buy the new maps whether they would use them or not.

The whole odst product is boosted by value added sales to justify the full price.
Its unusual considering Microsofts stance on console SKUs and their disapproval of Sony forcing their customers to buy things they dont need when buying a PS3. eg. hard drive, built in wireless etc.

You do get what you paid for but a lot of the crap in ODST I,ve already bought. And thats what I have the problem with.

"Anyone can give up it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's the true strength."

Agreed. But then there'd be the problem of getting longshore, citadel, and heretic which are suppose to be exclusive only to ODST buyers.

Do you realie how much confusion this would cause? It would be Halo Wars all over again. Instead of people getting the wrong version of HW to get the Mythic Map Pack, people would get the wrong version expecting Halo 3's multiplayer to be bundled with it.

Still you would not be able to play the rest of mythic.

I don't care about the maps, so just getting ODST on it's own would be nice.
