theres no excuse(other than complete shameless money whoring)to only have one version of ODST

there needs to be a version that has all the halo 3 content(heroic legendary mythic)and be the full $60

then there needs to be a marked down version that doesnt have all that stuff for the people that have already purchased all that content

making it full priced just bcuz it includes all the halo 3 content(stuff a lot of people have already bought)is ridiculous

Here is a general breakdown for the pricing of ODST:
Campaign-$15
Firefight-$8
Mythic map pack part 2-$10

so theres the new content-33$

theres the one tier

Halo 3 Multiplayer disc-$15
Heroic map pack-Free
Legendary map pack-$8
Mythic Map Pack part 1-$10

theres all the stuff i have already PURCHASED that bungie now expects me to buy AGAIN to the tune of 33$

this stuff should be included in tier 2

too bad so sad.

for every one person who vetoes it because they don't want to pay an extra ten bucks, MBungie and Microsoft makes 10000 dollars from the 1000 people who didn't.

No. ODST will have a standard and Collectors edition.

You don't demand less for a, say, Sandwich, because you have the ingredients at home.

Same deal.

No, my analogy is Fine. ODST is worth the money.
If you don't think so, stop complaining and don't buy it. The collectors edition actually saves you money. Controllers are usually $60, with the Collectors edition comes with a $40 dollar limited edition controller.

But, if your really so mad, DO NOT BUY THE GAME. Your thread will never make a difference.

do you enjoy being a fanboy?

i can see not complaining...but NOBODY should be supporting this

THEYRE CHARGING FULL PRICE FOR AN EXPANSION

you do realise the repercussions this could have

if they can sell boatloads of this at $60 then why would they ever go back to making big budget full games?

whats the point in spending the kind of resources it took to make halo 3 on reach when they can be just as successful spending low resources on it like they did with ODST

by supporting this youre just encouraging them to make inferior products

Stuff.

C. You're reading too much into the analogy, it works fine.

1. Who says you can't by the ingredients from a store and a sandwich later from the in-store deli in that same store?

2. Amazingly enough all ingredients don't have a single use. Besides, just think of additional ingredients as those map packs you bought.

Anyway, I'm in the opinion that while I think it could be a little less that I'm okay paying $60 for someone I will more likely than not enjoy playing and continuing my Halo experience.

it's incredible that you can actually think this bull -blam!- up.
Bungie, who has no control over the money, probably won't get paid any more than if it was a 40$ game, who has never made a BAD game in whatever genre it is in, is suddenly going to make inferior products because someone else is getting paid 20 extra dollars from the buyers of an absolutely incredible game.

IF ODST is an inferior game, then Bungie has never made a good one in their career.

Talk about not paying attention. Bungie just recently said that though ODST started as an expansion, it's closer to full game now.

Here is a general breakdown for the pricing of ODST:
Campaign-$15
Firefight-$8
Halo 3 Multiplayer disc-$15
Heroic map pack-Free
Legendary map pack-$8
Mythic Map Pack part 1-$10
Mythic map pack part 2-$10

That comes to $66 Dollars. Give or take 10 or so dollars.

Sounds fair to me.

obviously its not up to snuff

they designed it for a 30 or 40 dollar price tag...at that price sure it would have been great

but anything that is designed to be 40$ and gets priced at 60$ is obviously going to be inferior than the products that were designed from the ground up to be a 60$ product

and when that product can only be justifed by stuffing in stuff many people have already purchased from you

well...

Bungie said it was ORIGINALLY intended to be a 40$ game.

Microsoft picked the price tag, not bungie.

Oh, and yeah, if Halo 3:ODST isn't as good or better than 95% of the 60$ games ever sold, I will be greatly suprised.

its not a new halo game

its an expansion to an existing halo game that is being priced at the same level as the full game it is attached to
