oh, now i know why bungie would make all those map packs required for matchmaking. makes perfect sense: try to get as many people as possible to buy them before it is revealed that all maps will be included in odst. and then use this circumstance to justify a higher price tag!
they pretend to be commited to their supporters. their constant supporters have paid 30 bucks for map packs, why dont give them something back and offer a stripped down version for let s say... 40 dollars?
someone mentioned earlier this disc two was meant for people who didnt own h3. i would be quite surprised if there was such a group of people. if im interested in halo and its multiplayer there s no reason not to pick up halo 3, why should i start playing h3 multiplayer with odst? it s rather the opposite: there will only be a handful of people buying this game who didnt own h3.
the reason why there are so many people defending what those greedy companies are doing is because halo fanboism is blinding as much as the religious fanatism of the covenant.
my native language is german so i apologise for grammar mistakes!
