How does the fact that people have a Halo on PC change the fact that you get one on the 360 first? Why do you object to which is none of your god damn buisness?
Because resources dedicated to Halo on the PC are resources not allocated to games for the console. If Bungie want's to farm it out to a 3rd party like they did with Halo CE then that's fine. Just don't pull any dedicated employees off of Pimps at Sea to shovel a game off to the dwindling PC gaming community.

Of course they won't. That's not how it works. They'll proably outsource it if they do it and I'm fine with that.

Absolutely not.

To hell with you.

Yes, but only if they do it RIGHT. Halo for PC wouldnt even install on my comp, and Halo 2 PC fails HARD and runs like crap.

It would be really cool ,though

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

If they did they should figure a way to allow computer gamers to play with xbox gamers like the people who made Shadowrun (I believe?) were able to do. Of course modding would be strictly prohibited in match making.

I don't get it. Of it DOES come out on PC then good for the PC gamers. Anyone who would vote agaisnt it i probably a mindless console fapper anyway, and the matter of a PC prort does not concern them. What's with the mindless hate?
I only say the things I'm saying about console gamers because they insist on proving me right post after post. I mean READ the thread! It's pathetic!

  • 06.15.2009 5:46 PM PDT

yes they should make it for pc but bungie probrolly wont as it was said in another post gearbox would or somthing like that but im not someone who dosnt have an xbox well atm i dont but im getting a new one so its not like i only want it because i dont have and xbox 360 they should make it for pc because there would probroly be more players and more of a comunity then but they probroly wont go pc since halo 3 didnt

I voted yes, it would be great to use an editing kit on something besides custom edition, its old, its time for a new Halo that can be edited(besides h2v)

btw, just in case some of u dont know, the editing kit im talking about is not for hacking, cheating, etc. but for creating new weapons, textures, animations, bsp's, models, etc

heres an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmP8tYhfIQY

  • 06.15.2009 6:37 PM PDT

You cant even hack or cheat with an editing kit. Since your editing outside of the game.

This topic is going to fail because you have people who only own gaming PC's and people who only own Xbox 360's. I own both and would love to make a fully custom Halo 3 map instead of flying around as the monitor and just adding in scenery when I can personally make anything I want like I do in Halo Custom Edition. The reason Xbox 360 owners wouldn't want it to come out on PC is because it would be even better than it is now and they wouldn't be able to experience it.

Kill this thread. It quickly became a battle between PC gamers and Xbox gamers which doesn't belong here at all.

I'd want Reach on the 360 but a seperate more in depth map creator on the PC that can export to a format that the game can somehow read. That'd be amazing.

If it were to come to the PC I would like to see cross platform matchmaking

  • 06.15.2009 8:12 PM PDT

Why not just have the only good thing these things are good for---map editors?
Do something like farcry did, but more suited for halo? I don't understand why it's so hard to think of. Just have a grid system and drag walls, scroll through textures, place objects freely, etc. Yes, screw object creation, but as long as we can make walls and define textures, place objects, and then have some land geometry/water tool, it'd be fine.

I think it's inevitable that Reach will have a map editor though. People have been beggining through it in forge. Granted though, forge is something unique that i'd like to be in there as well.

Or what about something like UT3 on the ps3 where you can create mods on the pc and export to the console?

Already said that a few post above you and I still think that'd be a good idea if they were to bring Reach onto the pc. ^^

Want to see what the editing kit does for Halo Custom Edition? You don't play the same old 12 maps over and over again. There a at least over 100 good maps for Halo CE. Look what this team of 13-18 Year old kid(s) are doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY9gZ50nV6k&feature=relate d

Also, Im a mere 12 year old and you probably don't care what I'm even saying but look what can I can do with the editing kit: http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg70/halopro77/wip2-7.jpg

and : http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg70/halopro77/wip-14.jpg

and : http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg70/halopro77/WIP-10.jpg

and look at this, the one on the left is Bungie's Master Chief from halo 3 and the one on the right is my friends which is not complete yet, now tell me, which one looks better?
http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg70/halopro77/lololoolwut wutwut.jpg

The editing kit would bring together a big community of people to work hard that actualy might have a chance of working at Bungie. I hope that one day I will be an environmental 3d artist for Bungie. I also own a legit Halo 3 Copy and an X Box 360 so you cannot say I'm a PC freak as someone might say.

One of the many downfalls of console multiplayer game is that the maps end up becoming old after playing them for the thousandth time. If there was an editor where modders could make and post their own maps on Xbox Live, and play, it would make Halo 3 and even Reach last WAY WAY WAY longer.

Thousands of people still play Haloce online, a game still alive because of its modding community. Why bungie doesnt wish this for its newer games, I dont know.

Halo Reach for the PC can ONLY benefit everyone, assuming they can connect the console and PC version online so that console gamers can appreciate modds as well.

A PC version can bring the following into a kick ass multiplayer match.

I voted yes, because with a more powerful engine and editing kit, there's no limit to what people on halomaps and modacity could do. It's for this reason the bungie will most likely say no. If they made it compatible with Xbox, then it would also mean everyone could experience it

Yes, And most of ya'll don't have the slitest idea whats an editing kit and how it works.
360s FPS is capped at 30FPS, while PCs can go much higher than that, the fact that compared to the PCs, 360s are low end hardware. (CrapBox)

Ever heard of Forza 2? It runs on 60 FPS, idiot.
Oh and I was a PC Gamer and cryed for Halo 3 to come out on PC now... I just bought a friggin xbox, and see truth - All those Action games which were ported on PC suck at controls, while Xbox is really good at control schemes and -blam!-, yes the aiming is bit harder, but the games are still damn good! And jesus, you dont have to upgrade it every year when a new VGA comes out or another Crysis like game is launched!

Why doesnt microsoft come out wth a real Mouse and Keyboard for an xbox and Bungie come out wth a real editor for halo 3 and possible Reach? I think thats all that PC gamers are asking. The ONLY reason a PC gamer doesn't buy a console is because of the control scheme.

Halo reach should come to PC. Its kinda retarded because Bungie is just helping Micro-blam!-, to get more money off of a cheap ass console that has so many issues. Heh.
