This is my signature nub.

We all know Halo Wars took place before Halo 1, so we agreed that Ensemble didn't have lots of freedom to create things (ex: the Spartan Laser shouldn't have been in there because it was only in Halo 3, but they put it in anyway), so because it took place before, the weapons and vehicles couldn't have been very good.
What about this game though? It takes place before Halo 1, so will there be new weapons (even though there shouldn't be [yes I know about the combat knife])?

Well, there may be. There will certainly be a BR later on in the game, because it was introduced to the Spartans during the fall of Reach, and the poster up top, the far left tall guy seems to be holding something different. I say: MAYBE

Pretty much, Ensemble Studios added new vehicles and weapons that weren't around at that time because they need to have more of a variety choice in their game. And Halo: Reach will probably have younger looking guns (like no spartan laser or minigun) but who knows.

CoE. If you don't know what that means...

The Spartan Laser was introduced in Halo 3, but so was the Hornet. And that existed even before the Covenant-Humanity war.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

Who says those things weren't around before Halo 3?

It was possible that they were only produced in small numbers, and thus were not used in Halo 2 and 3 because the Chief was thrown into situations, there wasn't much planning time to acquire rare equipment (like there would have been earlier in the war).

And the PoA could've had BRs and Spartan lasers on it, but if you remember correctly, in TF or TFoR Cortana said that the Spartans' weapons lockers were destroyed but some marine armories still remained intact (where all weapons in H1 came from). My bet for the reason we got the more powerful M6D Pistols only in H1 was because the PoA couldve been outfitted with the rare weapons because it was about to go on a mission behind enemy lines to try and capture a Prophet (but then the Covenant attacked Reach, so they turned around and joined in the fight).
