Okay, so I know that the second disc is Halo 3's Multiplayer, including all of the DLC for Halo 3, including Heretic, Citadel and Longshore.

My only question is, do we have to use the second disc to play on Heretic, Citadel and Longshore? Will they be released on the Marketplace and/or is there a way to transfer them to your HDD for use on the original Halo 3 disc? I don't really care if we need to use the second disc, it's just a minor inconvenience.

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

It's built onto the disk, so yes. You do have to have the second disk to play those 3 maps.

No, there will be a code that will be available for the box for the 2nd half of the mythic maps, and they will be released to the Marketplace if people did not buy or order Halo 3 ODST. Also, the HDD just holds the maps to play on Halo 3. So, no, there will not be a second disc, unless they make a special edition that comes with a second disc.

They weekly updates are there for a reason. They give you something called "Knowledge". Powerful stuff, I know.

Halo 3: ODST is bringing two disks. One's ODST's crap (Campaign, Firefight, and Theater 2.0 for Campaign and Firefight) and the second disk is Halo 3's multiplayer with all 24 multiplayer maps built into the disk.
In other words: It's Halo 3, but without Campaign and it has every Halo 3 map to date on it, plus Heretic, Longshore and Citadel. You won't be getting a code in the box to download them like Halo Wars did with the Mythic Map Pack, and it will NEVER be available on the market place.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

If they are never available on the marketplace, then anyone who doesn't get ODST may not be able to play all the matchmaking varients. Or maybe the new maps won't be in matchmaking which also wouldn't be very cool. Maybe a special playlist.

Hmm ... definitely some mixed answers.

At this point, I don't think we have a concrete answer. I'm hoping there's some kind of code or way to transfer them to the HDD. But looking at ODST's menu, I don't see anything that could let you transfer them, so it's most likely a code, if anything at all.

I think there will be a DLC card in the game case, as with Halo Wars Limited Edition, so you just type the code in to get the maps
