oh thank god. My halo 3 disc is so scratched it's unbelievable.Have you considered borrowing a friends copy and installing to your HDD? It'll mean slower loading times, but you won't have to wait 'til ODST.
Then I'd need to keep the friends copy which he wouldn't be pleased at ;)Actually, no you wouldn't. So long as you still had your scratched copy, you can use that. Provided the X-Box recognises that it's a Halo game, it'll run from the HDD. I did that with my copy of Madden 08. It got scratched, I borrowed a friends, installed that to the HDD, and gave it back. Now I put in my copy, it knows it's the right game, and that's all it needs. It runs from the HDD after that.
oh yeah I never thought about using my disc lol. Good idea but remember bungie said it's not a good idea to install halo 3 to your hard drive because it actually makes the game load slower. Halo 3 was build to run from disc, not hard drive.
