Subject: New idea for Halo: Reach Saved Films

So I've had this idea for a while now, but figured it was too late for Halo 3: ODST. I'm sure a lot of you may not have been perfectly satisfied with the Campaign Saved films experience in halo 3. Well, I had an idea, and no, it's not the ability to rewind. I call it 'Glory Reel'. Essentially, when you load up a Halo: Reach Campaign Saved Film, you have the option to run it in Glory Reel mode. This means that the film will only play the segments (i.e. the gameplay between checkpoints) in which you did not die; basically, it's a flawless run. Of course, each Glory Reel would have a watermark or some such visible so you cant pretend that your God. So yeah, thats pretty much it. Thoughts?

That's a cool idea! Why not in ODST?

Do you know if you respawn in exactly the same place as you were when you hit the checkpoint?

Because otherwise, there are going to be little jerks here and there that would make it less pleasing to watch.

This has to be addressed, but I already thought about this feature and it's definately something I'd like to have. Just to watch what you did like it was a movie....

It seems like an excellent idea, but it would really end up just looking like a movie with crappy editing. You would instantly be able to tell where you would have died. It just seems like it wouldn't be worth it due to quality.
