Subject: Time travel theory proved wrong.

Halo Reach won't be a sequel and include time travel, for it would destroy the game series.

If MC were to go back in time, it would be obvious that he would try to stop his friends from dying. Anyone would, expecially if they were the Spartans he grew up with. This in turn, would change the events happening in this game and in Halos 1,2, and 3. Since MC would save his friends from death, he may help them escape, meaning there would be more than 1 spartan and they would never have to flee from the Covenant to Halo in the first place, rendering the original 3 Halo games obsolete.

OR, if MC stayed with the Spartans and fought anyways alongside himself, he would most likely die, also making the original 3 Halos never happen.

Now, answer me this, people who believe the time travel theory: Why would a game company make their original games obsolete?

EDIT: I would like to point out that I am not saying the end of Halo 3 is MC floating to Reach. it could be Reach, but not back in time. It could well be Reach, in the present, being a dead planet that was glassed a good year ago.

I think people are just looking too hard for connections. They see a dark planet at the end of the Halo 3 Legendary Campaign and they see a dark planet in the Halo: Reach Teaser Trailer and jump to conclusions. They actually look pretty different and I'm pretty sure Bungie wouldn't use this kind of silly plot device.

Exactly. And Bungie wouldn't destroy a successful series with some lame plot twist.

No need to. They already did it with all that Cortana/MC bullcrap they pulled in H3

I admit, that stuff was a bit over the top, but I don't blame MC for saving a friend who had helped him through the whole series. The thing with Cortana/Gravemind coming onto your screen and sodding your game up was annoying though.

Especially in some of the later levels when it would literally happen every ten feet.

Although i doubt time travel is the answer, you don't know anything about Time travel do you?

He knows the end, result, and therefore does nothing to help those who "survived". he then coincidently saves several spartans who Fred simply lost track of, who were not confirmed to die.

Time travel DOESN'T allow you to change the past, what you change in the past is what was changed initially ANYWAY.

I wouldn't speak with authority about a subject that isn't definite.

Time travel is too confusing to even explain, but heres the thing:

MC would save his friends because he doesn't want to be the last Spartan AROUND. All the others are gone and were never heard from again.

Changing the past could effect the original Halo series greatly, or may erase them from time altogether.

The end result could be changed because MC hasn't gone back in time yet to change the past, so the Halo series would happen.

This is getting all too confusing, so I'll leave it at that.
